Exchange 2003 - Recovering deleted (purged) mailbox

A mailbox was deleted accidently and subsequently purged as well.

I used the recovery group to restore the previous day's store which was
fine, I then used Exmerge to pst the email off, unfortunately I keep getting
the following error:

"How to Use Recovery Storage Groups in Exchange Server 2003"

"To use a Recovery Storage Group, the Active Directory topology of the
Exchange Server 2003 computer must be intact and must be in the same
state as when the copy of the database was made. This means that the
mailbox or the mailboxes that you want to recover must not be deleted
or purged from the system, or moved to a different database or to a
different server."

I created a secondary store and remapped to the recovered edb and str, once
mounted I was able to reconnect the mailboxes to the original user account.

delete single occurances in a string
i have headers in a5:g5 I have data in columns A6:G5000. based on the series of numbers in column b, i want to delete all single occurances of the number found. In other words, if it is not listed/found in column B at least twice, delete the entire row. I would add a new column C (just temporarily). Then in C6, I'd add this formula: =if(countif($b$6:$b$5000,b6)>1,"ok",na()) and drag down. This would result in an error on every row that had exactly one occurrence. Then I'd select that range convert to values (to remove the slow calculation) Edit|...

How Migrate mail account from SendMail to Exchange 2003
Hi... a new infrastructure has been created, new domain in Windows 2003 with Exchange 2003. I need to migrate the mail accounts that are in a Sendmail to Exchange Server Some idea or suggestion? If you are using Outlook with Sendmail, export the user mailbox to PST file. Once you have the users Exchange Mailbox created, import the PST file into the Exchange Mailbox. -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2007 Microsoft Certified Partner "[TkT]" <TkT@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A5E545A6-35E8-4F42-8FE0-E43469F21B0A@microsoft.com... > H...

deleting all rules from the server
Is it possible to delete all of a users message rules from the server? We had to restore a mailbox the other day and now the user's rules are in triplicate. We've tried to delete them from the client but when they sync to the server they come back. The user wouldn't be adverse to losing all of their rules at this point if that is necessary as every mail sync gives an error that the rules don't match - even after telling exchange which set of rules to keep. The logon to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer failed. MAPI 1.0 ID no: 80040111-0286-00000000 . I see the mailbox I want to restore and everything, I just can'...

Long URL hard wrap in plain text e-mails in Outlook 2003
When I send an plain text e-mail in Outlook 2003 containing a long URL (beyond 76 characters), this breaks the long URL where users cannot click on the complete URL. In Outlook Express 6 SP1 I could change the plain text to Quote Printable to avoid this issue. How can I do this in Outlook 2003? I do not want to change the text format from plain text to HTML or Rich Text, I need to use plain text. Thanks. I found my answer and this solves the problem for me in Outlook 2003: Line Wrapping Does Not Appear As Expected When You Send E-Mail Messages in Outlook 2003 http://support.microsoft.c...
