Hi

Does anyone know of a utility that will automatically email someone when
their Active Directory password is about expire?

Thanks, Jack

Why do you want to do this? The user will get a pop up letting them know
that when they log in.

It's for remote users. Since they are not on the domain, they NEED to get a
email reminder that they need to change their password.

Any ideas?

I am sure someone will say so if I am wrong, but I think
there is no functionality included anywhere to do this.
You would have to write an LDAP query to look in AD at
the user objects, notice this, and then produce an email
to send to the user. This could be scheduled. A couple
days dev time for a good developer. (we have such
resources)

Do you know you can allow the user to change their
password in OWA?

Oh yes, I'm an expert on Exchange.

Just can't find a way to notify my off-site users of their expiring
password. Major headache of which, so far, no solution.

What can one do.

I would recomend increase the notification time in group policy so that they
get notified long time ahead. for example notify 25 days before the date of
password expiring instead of default 15.

Cheers!

Send to certain person using specific email account
I send an email to a certain receipient but don't want to use the default email account. Is it possible that when I send to them (plain text) , that it will choose the other account I want to use to send it? Please advise how I set this up. Thanks. I do not believe that this can be achieved automatically through standard use of Outlook as you need to manually specify the name of the account to send from if different than the default. However, it would be possible using the Outlook object model. An Addin would need to be developed that monitored each mail item prior to sending. If the d...

For each time that "Name" appears in sheet 1, row *, take information from the same row, but columns 2 and 6 and bring it over to sheet 2 in the designated area. I know that you need to do a "VLookup" function and I got that to work. I know that you also need a "Loop" statement, so that it will continue to perform the Vlookup and bring over the information for each time that the name appears. I don't know how to write the formula so that the VLookup and the Loop are combined. Examp...
