HTTP status 401: Unauthorized error
We developed an application using the crm SDK web services. When we access
the application, we get an error:
The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
If we refresh the page again (hitting F5), we do not get the error. It
seems that the first time CRM authentication fails but the second time it is
ok (on refresh).
We have MS CRM 3.0 deployed on Windows 2003 server using IIS 6.0. The
custom application is using windows authentication and is on the same server
as CRM in a virtual directory.

Just got started on Mloney 2006. I pay almost everything by credit catrd
and then pay it off at the end of the month to get the 2 percent rebate.
However in the pie charts showing all my expenses the expenses take up 50% of
the pie chart but are distorted by the fact that my bank transfer to pay the
card is treated as an expense so the credit card is 50% also when actually
the credit card expenses already show up all correctly categorized. How do I
astop this? I used category "bank transfer/cc" to pay the credit card (which
ultimately paid all other expenses.

When I setup an IMAP account in Outlook XP, the only default folder provided

...Setting User Security
I can't believe that in a world of compliance driven by acts such as Sarbanes
Oxley that Great Plains immediately grants system access to a new users upon
setup. This is absolutely insane. User Access should automatically default
to having no rights and the user security should be modified to allow you to
mark or unmark more than one item at a time. much like the bank
reconciliation process. It was a nightmare!
I also think that the security screen should separate items under the
function such as tools (setup and utilities), transactions, inquires and
cards so I don't have to...Moderated public folder won't accept posts from Win 2K users
I'd appreciate any suggestions ...
I have a moderated public folder acting as a contacts database. When users
post to the folder, the 'moderate folder' rule diverts the post into a
separate public folder that is visible only to the moderators. One of the
moderators checks the post and then moves it into the contacts database
This worked fine until I upgraded some PCs from Win 98 to 2000 Pro. Posts
from users on Win 2K go straight into their Drafts folder, not into either
the openly visible or the hidden public folders. The same users have no
problem if they work from ...populating address list from external ldap

I am needing to create a distribution group in our GAL of external people
for my AD users to email. What is the difference between Mail Enabled users
vs Mail enabled contacts. I am not sure which one to use? HELP
For external users, you need to create mail-enabled Contacts. Contacts exist
only so they can show up in the Address Book/GAL (they can be hidden,
though... ) and everyone in the Org can email them.
Mail-enabled users are users that have mail residing on an external system -
they are security principals and can log-on to the Domain - Contacts can't.
When accessing MS CRM via internet explorer and I click 'Send E-mail'
on an Account record the email gets sent but it is not appearing in my
Sent Items folder in Outlook.
Has anyone else experienced this? Surely this can't be how the system
is designed to work.
The only integration with Outlook occurs if you are
sending mail from the SFO client. Even then it does not
place a copy of the eMail in the Sent Items, but does
update contacts, tasks etc.
What you are seeing is by design, no integration with
Outlook happens when you send mail from the browser ...Exchange: add users

The "Review your current budget status" screen shows

the budgeted column. For example, rent is showing at
