Autoprint incoming email

I'm new to exchange, but is there any way to automatically print an email
that comes in to a specific address? I have a feeling this should be the
easy part. The next question is, can we also print the specific attachment
(assuming we have the program to read the file -pdf, doc, etc)??

Thanks.

We don't have a PC setup for this email address - its used internally. So I
don't think this will work using an Outlook rule. I was hoping to make this
happen from our exchange server. thx

Nope. Printing e-mails relies on a client printer being installed. Calling
that printer would require a client-side Outlook rule to be in place.

Thats what I was afraid of.

I thought that there might be a chance because of the way Outlook warns you
that the rule you created is a client-side rule. This seems to only happen
when under an exchange network. So, with that warning, I thought maybe,
just maybe, there would be such things as server-side rules.

Ah well.

Thanks!

Mike

There are such things as server-side rules, but there are specific
conditions that must be met. For example, a rule that moves a message from
your Inbox to another folder would be considered a server-side rule and will
operate even when Outlook is not running.

A client-side rule, for example, would be one that takes a message from your
Inbox and moves it to a Public Folder. In essence, you'll find that for the
most part, anything that works within the same mailbox will be a server-side
rule. When you start doing things like moving messages out of the mailbox
store, or printing (in your case), it has to be a client-side rule, which
would require Outlook to be running.

searching emails in whole mailbox
Hi, My Outlook is just upgraded to Outlook 2007. It drives me crazy. In Outlook 2003, if I want to search an email in the whole mailbox, I will go to Advanced search and browse to the mailbox and it looks for the email everywhere. But in Outlook 2007, I did the same thing, it finds nothing. I have to check the folder to search. The problem is if I know the email is in which folder, why I need search?
