Hold shift to stop Auto_Open() not working in 2007

I have several workbooks that contain Auto_Open macros. All were originally
written on a 2003 installation. Now that my primary machine has 2007 on it,
I find that I cannot prevent the Auto_Open macro from running by holding the
shift key down when opening the files. I know in 2003 if you set the macro
security level to low the shift key stops working. However, I’ve tried
changing several settings in the Trust Center (such as trusting the files’
location) but to no avail. I also know that if I leave the location
untrusted it will allow me to not run the macro, but if I then try to test
the Auto_Open macro (or any other macro for that matter) manually during that
session it fails because it says I disabled the macros. Moving the files
back to a 2003 installation resumes the expected hold-shift-to-stop
functionality. Is this feature no longer available in 2007 or am I just
missing something?

Recipient policy not working for OU
Exch2003 sp2, win2003 sp1 I want users created in one particular OU to get a different primary SMTP address. I've created the Recipient Policy with a filter for the OU and Apply this Policy now, but users created in that OU still get the Default Policy SMTP addressing. Doesn't seem like it could be any easier. I ran Update Now on the RUS. Not sure what else to even check. Why isn't it working? Any suggestions? A recipient policy filter based on the OU won't work. Try using populating the company or department attribute with a value and then using that. Nue "bruce&...

How is the 'FROM' field supposed to work in 2003?
I've noticed in inconsistent behavior of how the FROM field works when sending messages in Outlook 2003. From my testing it seems like on some occasions it will look as if the message has actually come from the name I enter into the field. I.e. 'John Smith' however on other occasions it will say sent from 'Myself' on behalf of 'John Smith'. Can someone confirm how it is supposed to work in an IMAP environment? Thank you. Office 2007 trial is very slow. Is this because it's a trial
I just started using the trial version of Office 2007. It takes forever for it to open on my computer but Office 2003 opens just fine. Is this just because it's a trial or is it naturally slow because of the additional features? It's likely due to the expanded feature set and increased hardware requirement over Office 2003. rtappan wrote: > I just started using the trial version of Office 2007. CreateDatabase / Access 2007
Hi all, Question: Can Access 2007 be forced to create an Access 2000 database when using CreateDatabase? I have a "utility" database that I distribute in version 2000 to users which is used to extract data from their main database (also version 2000) and which then creates and dumps this data into a new database ("Homedata.mdb"). This new database can then be zipped up, emailed, and uploaded into our central database. The basic procedure is: Data is extracted from the user's main database; placed in tables within the "utility" database; "H...

toggling between open work books
Re EXCEL97 under WinXP-Pro w/SR-2 Microsoft Windows allows you to easily toggle between applications using Alt-Tab. Is there a similar key board to toggle between two open workbooks in Excel? One can use Alt-W to display list of open workbooks, but you cant just blinding hit the up or down arrow, because the most recently accessed workbook is not always at the top or bottom. I realize that I could get around the problem of opening two copies of Excel and then toggling using the Alt-Tab keys, but typically Ive got two workbooks open in one copy of Excel before I realize I need the f...

z-order of various lines and bars in an Excel 2007 chart
What is the procedure for changing the z-order of various lines and bars in an Excel 2007 chart, such as drop lines, high-low lines, up/ down bars, and error bars? I observed that when I add drop lines to an Excel 2007 chart, they appear in front of the underlying data -- in my case, the underlying data is displayed as a plotted area. I want the plotted area to be fully visible with no lines over it. I would like to send the drop lines to the back and keep the plotted area in the front, but there is no option to do this. So, is there a procedure for adjusting the z-order of drop...
