All of the office suite have Spellcheck.
Take your pick, MS Works, Office Standard, Office Student, Office Pro.

Problem w Office Small Business 2003 since unistalling free trial
I installed a free trial of Microsoft Office 2007 the other day. When I went to edit word docs, they were locked, so I unistalled the 2007 version. That's all I removed and now my 2003 version of Microsoft Office Small Business isn't working. I keep getting Microsoft Installer popups on my screen constantly. I do not know where the original discs are for 2003 or I would just try to reinstall it, as the installer popups are suggesting. Help! Nothing in Office is working at all now! You've just screwed yourself; never install a trial version if you don't hav...

Check for # of Words in Function
Apologies in advance, I am NOT a coder, I am trying to fix VBA someone wrote for me by 'slogging' through it on my own. Making some decent headway on easier stuff but I am at an impasse. He has a function that creates an Acronym out of a Value. However I want to modify it so it ONLY does it if the # of words in that value > 1. Can anyone give me a heads up on how to add that here please? It would be most appreciated: Private Function GenerateAcronym(ByVal val As String) As String 'Tested OK Dim str As String, prom As String, ch As String, res As String ...

Take non-qualifying discounts Select Checks Screen default
Can anyone tell me how to default the checkbox to Take all non-qualifying discounts to always be checked? Eric, I'm trying to recall which window this is in but it doesn't really matter. There isn't anything in GP that defaults this value that I remember and so the solution is that you'd have to write a bit of VBA code to do this. Probably just one line to set it. My guess is the Window_AfterOpen() event and your line would look like: TakeAllNonQualifyingDiscounts = true This assumes that the field shows in VBA as I've guessed above. Checking values in different fields.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with something. I currently have a table with stock levels and a re-order level. When the stock level gets below the re-order level I then contact the supplier and order new stock. I was wanting to create a query that checks the values of these two fields and then shows me all the records that need re-ordering. I however, don't know how to compare the values of two fields. Could anyone give me a hand? Many thanks. On Wed, 9 May 2007 15:35:01 -0700, rednikcam wrote: > Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with something....

Office HTML Filter for 2003?
I'm looking for an equivalent for Office HTML Filter for Excel 2003? Is there one? Built in? A separate product? I have a macro to save multiple Excel sheets to HTML, but I can't figure out how to get it to leave out the Cascading Style Sheets, XML, all the other Office-specific overhead that bloats the files. If I can't figure that out, I can clean them up with Office HTML Filter -- but it works on 2000, won't load on 2003. Argh. Ideas? Thanks, Bill ...

want to un-install Office X, can't
I want to re-install MS Office X on my iMac, having tried everything else mentioned in this and other forums to get rid of a quit-on- startup issue. Trouble is, I get a "you don't have permission to do this" when I try to run the uninstall program. I originally had Office on a G4 iMac, then moved it early last year to an Aluminum iMac. (It will no longer run, of course, on the older computer, which is on the same network.) I'm told to log on as the user who installed the program ... but there are three user id's on my new iMac and none of them will run the un- installer....

Office #2
I just bought a new iBook which came with the Office 2004 Test drive. I installed this, used it briefly, then bought a real copy of Office. Before installing the real thing, I uninstalled the Test Drive version. The real version installed just fine, however it shows that it's registered to "Office 2004 Test Drive User" instead of me. It's annoying when you try to do things like insert comments in Excel. Is there a way to change/fix this? (I'm a newbie to the Mac) Thanks. Sorry about the lame thread title, I hit submit too soon. Upgraded both of my macs to Office 2004 and wish I could have Office x back! Any help?!?!
Hi, I am running a G5 Imac 1.8Ghz and a G4 Powerbook 1.5GHz and have been happily running office X on both machines for as long as I've owned them (1 and 2 years respectively) Before the Pbook, I also had an I book running Office X for 18 months with no troubles. I just installed Office 2004 2 weeks ago, and am consistently noticing, on both machines, serious system slowdown over the course of the day. To the point where, by mid-afternooon, my system needs to be restarted. The symptoms are identical on both macs (naturally the Pbook runs even slower than the G5 as these problems advan...

Isn't Outlook 2003 supposed to ask me to turn off the Out of Office status when I log in?
Hello! IIRC in the past, Outlook 2003 (using MS Exchange for e-mails) would prompt me if I want to turn off its auto-reply for Out of Office status I manually set a few days before. However this morning from my three days weekend, it didn't ask me that and a co-worker noticed that it was sending auto-reply messages. Is this a bug or did I miss something? Check Numbers #3
I suggest that a person should be able to specify the number of checks available in a checkbook, so that when the checkbook is running out of checks the user can be notified. Right now, you can specify the number of the next check when you create the checkbook and when the checkbook runs out you can edit this number , the problem is that sometimes the user has to print many checks and he/she is not aware that the checkbook that he/she is using is about to run out of checks and as a consequence a considerable amount of checks is lost due to this issue. ---------------- This post is a s...

Office 2008 vs 2004 features
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: intel Hi everyone, I just have a quick query in regards to the feature set of Office 2008 vs 2004. I have installed both versions but only use basic functionality of both, my question is based around whether there are less features available in 2008 than 2004? If so which features are missing? I vaguely remember seeing a post on one of these groups from a Microsoft specialist advising that it is best to leave the upgrade to 2008 until you really need to due to less features and a number of incompatibility issues and existing b...
