Phone Number not showing in GAL
I'm running Exchange 2003/Outlook 2003. I put a phone number in a users
"Telephone Number" field in AD, It does not show up in the user for the
GAL. I let replication take place. Anything else I could look for?

I have a 66 page document with a TOC and an index. The page numbers in the
TOC are correct, but in the index they are 2 pages off. I clicked the
paragraph button to display the index field codes - I think the problem lies
in the fact that the TOC contains index codes with many cross references for
documents in the appendix (a number of separate documents). This causes the
TOC to display over four pages when showing the field codes and only two when
not. Is there an easy way to fix the page numbering in the index?

I have a user here who can not get rid of japanese font in
his calander program after having installed Japanese fonts
at a previos time.I have removed all things that are
japenese and I still cant get rid of it in calander and

Is there a way to change the Outlook XP username? Any
email I print in outlook lists my default email address
(which I'm told is also the username) at the top of the
email, underlined and boldprint. Then, the message header
follows (with the usual from, sent, to, etc). It prints
this default email address on every email; even those not
received from that account.

Unless you have an Exchange server that name should be taken from your
default e-mail account. Go into that account (Tools | E-Mail Accounts |
Change...) and edit the Display name listed there...Conditional formatting won't accept font change?
Was reading a bit on Conditional Formatting as I using quite a bit of
it in a series of spreadsheets I'm doing. I read in this NG that you
can't change fonts with CF and I checked to see is this was true. It's
true in XL2000. But what I can't figure out is why is there a list of
fonts in the CF dialog box that's always, as near as I can tell, grayed
out. Anyone know what's going on here?

I suspect this problem may be solved more simply with a pivot table,
but my users are having problems creating the pivot tables after they
build the data base.
Event data is recorded as pairs in a row where the first cell of the

I would like to conditionally format a date. I have read earlier posts on
conditionally formatting numbers but I have been unable to transfer this to
dates. Here is what I want and maybe someone out there has done this.
If the date is before some cutoff point say 1970, I want the format to be
blank, otherwise format the date in RED as m/d/yyyy.

But you could use format|conditional formatting to make the cell look

of any plain text message about half an inch to the left, resulting in

You will want to type in numbers that will not exceed the height of your stock.

clicking onto a customize button on my toolbar(All Caps button) How can I
reformat Word and Outlock to start in lowercase.
It sounds like the font in your Normal Style might be formatted as All Caps.

Well this is an Access database forum; however, since Access has the same
behavior, I'll take a stab:
Numbers don't have leading zeros.
If you need to see leading zeros, format it as a text field.
In Access there are some fancy ways to display leading zeros in front of
numerical characters, but then it's no longer a number.

I cannot now open an EXCEL file I created some while ago.
Instead I get a message saying file format is invalid.
File name is less than 219 characters. I can see what is
in the file using Quick View.
How can I restore access to file using EXCEL?
Maybe try Inserting it into a blank Excel sheet.........or try opening it in
Excel XP, or even MS Word........
Does it for sure have an .xls extention......maybe someone opened it in
another program and saved it as some thing else......
