This doesn't work for Thin Client user
My supervisor at a remote location wanted a way to "merge data" from four
counties into a single master form. Each county sends in a simple single
sheet form with statistics for a variety of categories. All files are
exactly the same and contain no special formatting or even any formulas.
Just numbers entered under a heading for their county.
I adapted this routine from a post I saw:

to click and get the data. It works fine in XL2000 on any desktop machine
I've tried it on, but my supervisor runs Excel from a Thin Client
terminal and can't get it to work. No error messages reported, just that
data isn't imported as expected. Her words are "I click the button and
nothing happens...it looks like it's trying to do something, but nothing
happens."
Is there any reason this simple procedure wouldn't work for someone using
Thin Client?

you have a macro that needs to run, so make sure that your
supervisor does not have the macro security setting at
high, it will not run if so. goto tools macro and click on
security, put it to medium or low, I advise medium. If
decide to put it to medium a message will pop up when
opening up the sreadsheet asking if you want enable or
siable the macro, make sure your supervisor enables it.

macros disabled?
And not related to your question--I'd be careful with this line:
Workbooks(2).Sheets(1).Range(vArrAddresses(i)) = _
How do you know for sure which workbook is 2?
Maybe you're writing to a workbook that you didn't expect to be open. And
you're not looking there for results.

Hi, I am running Exch 2k3 SP1 in Windows SBS 2003. I tried to delegate Exch to user. What I did: I created a group called: Junior Admins I delegate at the Exchange top level the Junior Admins group to be Exch Full Admin. I assigned user: Sam to Junior Admins I use AdminPak.msi for Sam to control Exchange from her PC. Sam can get ESE on her PC (mmc), but can't open the server folder due the rights. Currently we allow our users to access there email VIA the web using http:yayaya.com/exchange. however one of my user's is unable to log in this way. I had Exchange 2003 SP1 and installed the IMF. I heard that SP2 has the IMF bulit-in. During the SP2 install it said I had to uninstalled the old IMF, which I did. Excel not working correctly
We have a pc here that does not operate correctly when using Excel. She can't run queries from templates or even worksheets that have calculations in them. If she uses them then they won't work anymore on other pc's. Her computer seems to be very strange. For some reasons the formulas in excel are not the same. Hi All, I'm hoping someone can help me with the following problem. I need to create a formula which calculates the different between two date/time values excluding out of business hours. Here's an example. Is there a way to list the users who are actually using Activesync? I can get a list of all the devices but have not run across a method of seeing if they are actually sending and reciveing mail. FileFormatConverts.exe stopped working
I have been using the converter without problem for docx. to .doc. It has stopped working - no changes to my system to explain. I am using MS Office SP3. Convert documents from Outlook Express 6. It now opens Word, the "Convert File" dialogue box appears, choose "Word 2007 Document", it says "word is converting ...", and "MSWord: There was an error opening the file". Not exactly helpful. I create a new search folder in OUtlook folder with the criteria, "mail to and from certain people". And then I choose a person from the list. enter-key works with two inputboxes but not with olny one.
Hi, There is a form with two inputboxes and a submit button.The focus is on the first inputbox. When the user presses the enter-key without having entered some text, the javascript message "wrong text" appears. This works. But if i remove the second inputbox, leaving only the first inputbox and the submit button, pressing the enter-key without any text does not show the javascript message. Nothing happens. The focus remains in the inputbox. You can see the page is postbacked, but that's all. Why does it work with two inputboxes and not with one? And how to fix...
Still recieving e-mail for deleted users
We are receiving e-mails for users that were been deleted from our server years ago. Does anyone know how to block these e-mails. We have a SPAM program that allows you to blacklist but it does not stop the messages from coming through. Create ea distribution list containing no members, but which has all the long-gone users' smtp addresses. This is called a blackhole DL. Some links in my e-newletter are unactive when I email it. I've tried to secure the text box with an exact position by going to the text box format options and it won't even let me select this as an option. Any other suggestions? Hi, There is a form with two inputboxes and a submit button.The focus is on the first inputbox. When the user presses the enter-key without having entered some text, the javascript message "wrong text" appears. This works. But if i remove the second inputbox, leaving only the first inputbox and the submit button, pressing the enter-key without any text does not show the javascript message. Nothing happens. The focus remains in the inputbox. You can see the page is postbacked, but that's all. Why does it work with two inputboxes and not with one? And how to fix...
Still recieving e-mail for deleted users
We are receiving e-mails for users that were been deleted from our server years ago. Does anyone know how to block these e-mails. We have a SPAM program that allows you to blacklist but it does not stop the messages from coming through. Create ea distribution list containing no members, but which has all the long-gone users' smtp addresses. This is called a blackhole DL. I am using the windows powershell cmdlets to set up new users automatically in AD 2003. I am particularly using the cmdlets from quest such get-qaduser and new-qaduser. In a worksheet I have, I have set the vertical alignment to 'Top' however, the text seems to stay at the bottom. Navigation Right click > Format Cells > Alignment tab. Links won't work in emailed enewsletter, help!
Some links in my e-newletter are unactive when I email it. I've tried to secure the text box with an exact position by going to the text box format options and it won't even let me select this as an option. Any other suggestions? For hyperlinks to work the newsletter has to be HTML. Have you tried using a PDF for your newsletter? You can make the hyperlinks active in a PDF file. Do this search for a free converter. When called from CDialogBar::OnCreate(), GetClientRect() is not returning the size of the CDialogBar as it would when called from CDialogBar::OnEraseBkgnd(CDC* pDC) with pDC->GetClipBox(); Why and how to get the full width and height of the CDialogBar upon creation ?
