running a macro in excel 2000

I have a workbook with a macro which was created in excel
97. However, when I retrieved this workbook in excel
2000,it doesn't display the prompt that we used to have in
excel 97 whether we want to disable or enable the macro.
Anyway,I want to have Excel 2000 run the macro. When I
open the workbook it says that Visual Basic macro module
is now edited in the VB editor, not the workbook. When I
go to Tools menu, macro command, Project Window, modules
and run it, it says that the macro is disabled. How can I
enable the macro, so that when Excel opens the workbook,
the macro will run automatically.

Also sounds like the macro was created in Excel 95 which was the last version
to feature the Menu Editor.

You probably have the macro in a macromodule sheet rather than a module,
although should work anyway, I believe.

Macros
I'm getting confused. I built two macros for a given spreadsheet and inserted them on a custom toolbar. When we copy the spreadsheet, giving it a new name, and then open the copy and run the macros - excel opens a new spreadsheet with the name of the original. I'm guessing that the macros are assigned specifically to a particular spreadsheet somehow? How do you suggest I work around this? I'd like to copy the spreadsheet and have the macro work in the newly created spreadsheet too. Even if it entails some minor coding changes, thats fine - or is there a way to tell the macr...

Excel 2003 Print Issue
