Turning off display while VBA running
Seems to me I once saw an option I can turn off to keep Excel from updating
the display while my program inserts rows, fills in data, hides/unhides rows
and such, so it'll run faster if there's a lot to be accomplished...the idea
being that the program will turn the display, so to speak, back on just
before it gets to End Sub. Now I want to use that feature and I can't find
it in my VBA/Excel chm. Can anyone tell me where to look for it? Thanks.

Note: you can also use Windows Task Scheduler to open Excel and run a
Workbook_Open Macro then save and close Excel if you wanted to do this at some

I have a database that I have been trying to convert into a correct
and recognizable time format. The old db kept time in numeric form
01...2400. The problem is when I try to import this into the new
database using CDate() it gives and error for each 2400 hour. I
understand that Access (2003) expresses 2400 hours as 0:00 but cannot
seem to get the right conversion for the append query. Here is what I

dates from CRM (using FetchXml query). Unfortunately it comes back to me
with UTC date and time. So when I set the value to 12/07/2005 in the UI at
8:26 am local time, the database stores it as 12/07/2005 07:00:00.000, but my
fetch gives me 2005-12-06T23:00:00-08:00. How can I get the date to ignore
the UTC issue? Better question, why is my fetch giving me UTC and the DB

different meeting types. Each meeting has it's own agenda wherein each agenda
item (different table) is listed as item 1, item 1 name; item 2, item two
name; etc. on continuous subforms for each meeting record. My supervisor
requested it this way so that if we choose to rearrange or duplicate agenda
items for different meetings, we would have that option; however, this has
posed a problem in that for every meeting, each agenda item has to be

I created a report in MS Access with several group levels.
It reports kilometers by month, by car and by year.
I use the running sum functionality to create cumulatives on detail level.
My problem is that I need these cumulatives by car; I have the choice to
create running sum "Over Group" or "Over All", but neither does the right
thing for me.
If I use "Over Group" it will reset also on MONTH level; if I use "Over All"
it will not reset on CAR level as required.
Is there a solution for this?

Im creating a workbook, and was thinking of using a macro. I've decided
otherwise, and can not get rid of the prompt that reads:
"the workbook you are opening contains macros" with the options to
"enable macros","do not open" or "disable macros.
This message pops up as soon as I open the document, and is causing
frustration amoung other users of this document. I've since "enabled
macros" and then deleted all macros I created, but I am still prompted
with the above message.
Does anyone know how to remove this message?

In Exchang 2003, I have a user that I unchecked the option for "Using
mailbox store defaults". It has been an hour and I still cannot send
due to the default restrictions being in place. what needs to happen
withit Exchange or AD for this new user setting to be applied?

Changes of that sort can take up to two hours to take effect.
Be my guest and change this value to something like 15 minutes and it'll
take effect the next time you cycle the information store service.
