Inverting an advanced filter
I'm using the advanced filter and would like to be able to see the set of
rows that are hidden after I've viewed the set of rows that the filter
shows. Some of my criteria are quite complex and converting them to select
the omitted rows only would be time-consuming and, knowing me, error prone.
Is there a way to invert the criteria automatically so I can run the new
filter, or to use the old criteria but then show the hidden rows and hide
the selected rows or is there perhaps some other mechanism to allow me to
see the rows filtered out rather than the rows filtered in please?

filter out a list of staff, from a staff table, which indicates those
who haven't completed a particular course.
TblStaff and TblTraining both have [EmployeeNumber] field
TblTraining has [CourseCode], CourseDesc] fields
example 363, Fire Training
I want a list of staff from TblStaff who haven't completed their fire
training in the last 9 months...

Here's the skinny
Outlook client receiving email from an Exchange server. User wants to
filter the email so that any mail from a particular group of users
goes into a folder. This is easy enough with email that originates
outside of Exchange since then it has normal SMTP headers. User simply
sets up filter based on these headers ( file anything with "from" that
contains "mydomain.com" for instance ).
However email sent from another user on the same exchange server
doesn't have these headers ( opening the message and looking
at options shows blank header area ). T...multiple filter's...
I am building a quotation spreadsheet and i would like to know if it's possible when i use the filter function can i put the info on another page or somewhere else on the same page separate from the drop box?? the reason being i have multiple catagories of info on the same row to make it visual friendly, entering the info below the drop box i don't think could work since the different filters would vary in the amount of lines. But filtering is new to me and i'm not completely familiar with it's limitations. thanks in advance.

I have 2 pop3 accounts that both go into Outlook 2003. I use rules to move
the emails to their respective folders. I have the Junk Email filter turned
on High...and yet nothing gets filtered. It seems to me that Outlook moves
the messages first, then runs the Junk Email filter on the Inbox. The Inbox
is empty when the filter is run, thus nothing is filtered. Can anyone direct
me on how to accomplish either one of the 2 solutions mentioned below?
1. Run the Junk Email filter on folders other than Inbox?
2. Run the Junk Email filter BEFORE the message rules are applied?

I have a project form where I have a button that when clicked it it opens
another form of property addresses filtered to selections made in 3 fields
called projectArea1, projectArea2 and projectArea3 which are a selection of
different roads. Each project could have 1 road involved or up to 3 roads.

I have a already filtered list with Column A: Dates, and Column B: numbers. I'd like each time I re-filter the list (custom filter - "less or equal to") up to a specific date in column A to get the subtotal of the numbers in Column B. I have a custom dialog form with an unbound list box, an option group, and
some check boxes, by which the user configures his report. There are command
buttons for Preview and Print. The user clicks the various controls on the
dialog box, then click Preview. If he doesn't like the result he closes the
preview, and clicks few more boxes in the dialog form and previews again.
I must be needing some kind of requery because once certain records are

We have a user who is getting a LOT of SPAM. Many of these contain the word
"Viagra". I went into Exchange Management Console - Organization
Configuration - Hub Transport - Anti-Spam - Content Filtering - Custom
Words, and added Viagra (and other forms of the word) to the "blocked"
section. This did not stop the "viagra" messages. Is there something that I
am missing here? I even tried rebooting the server but still get the SPAM.

I am trying to use the Advanced Filter in a macro routine. If I include all
of the fields from the list, the macro works with my Copy to location, A1:K1.
If I change my Copy to location to exclude irrelevant columns, I change the
range to A1:G1.
Every time I do this, I get an error messge:
"The extract range has a missing or illegal field name."
Since the filter runs fine, if I include all the field names, I assume I
must have one missing.
I'm copying and pasting the values, so the Copy to field headings match the
list's field headings.
