If you have Word installed and it's the same version as Outlook (both 2003,
for example), you can do a mail merge between the two. This would allow you
to set up the text the way you want it to, and you can save the document for

This is driving me crazy. If I already have Excel open (with or with out a
spreadsheet open) I cannot open an Excel spreadsheet attached to an e-mail.
If I close Excel and retry it will open Excel and the spreadsheet.
Any ideas? I hate having to close all my open spreadsheets when I want to
open a spreadsheet that's been e-mailed to me!
One of these usually works with a similar problem starting workbooks by double
clicking them in Windows Explorer. Maybe one will work for you and your email
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

- I worked with excel file / closed as usually
- new day opened and unfortunatelly some very important sheets
disappeared / why ? Don=B4t know
- I had about 7-9 sheets just now only 3 ones are there but not so
important as another ones
- the file has original size / I quickly looked into file by normal
text editor only for reading
and all relevant data are there, however if I open file by Excel, NO
original sheets or data
- this file is VERY IMPORTANT for me
- why happened ? Don=B4t know since I ask anybody for help

When trying to open a Microsoft Excel Work Sheet that I had accessed modified
and saved to only yesterday [Office 2000] a window pops up with:
"name.xls cannot be accessed. The file may be resd-only, or you may be
trying toaccess a read only location. Or, the server the document is stored
on may not be responding."
Older files stored on the same mediums ;HD, Flash memory or 3.5in. diskette
are accessed with no problem.

I have a group of four radio buttons that all point to one cell. My goal is
to create a second set that looks identical to the first but which points to
a second cell. This is for a questionaire that will have many questions with
the same four answer values. I want to be able to quickly create 100 button
groups that will each update a separate cell for scoring of the questionaire.
There are optionbuttons on the Control toolbox toolbar and there are
optionbuttons on the Forms toolbar.
Each has different behaviors.
If I had to use lots, I'd use the Forms version.

But with 30,000 data points you could run into trouble; Help says you can
32,000 data points in a single data series.
However, if you want markers it will look like heck.

forever and havn't found a hint yet.
I have multiple domains setup on my exchange server. Lets say abc.com,
def.com, and hij.com. We only send email with @abc.com but can receive
from any domain name. Recently we merged with another company and we
brought back their email to our server, lets say xyz.com. Now I
configured a new recipient on Exchange 2003, so I now have two
policies. The first policy has the three original domains in it with

separate the text into 2 cells - one with the date and the other with

For the date use
replace A1 with the first cell of your range
you probably have to reformat the first to
mm/dd/yy (or whatever the setting is)
Note that you can do this by just using format but if you want to compare to

If I want B10 to B17 all follow the change of the same number(copy cell),

As I type text in some cells, it does not always dispaly if it exceeds the
cell length. I wish to keep the cell lenghts for the entire document, but do
wish for teh text in that particular row to be displayed.
How about if you select that cell, then

Da...Excel Grid Lines in Outlook Preview Pane
Is there any way to send a spreadsheet to a mail recipient in the body
of the message and not have the grid lines show up in the Outlook
preview pane when the recipient views the e-mail? If you open the
e-mail in Outlook, the grid lines disappear, but in the preview pane
they are there.

having on our company.
Here is the scenario; Our Windows NT 4.0 SP4a server running Exchange 5.5
SP4 crashed (Server 1) due to the exchange database reaching its 16 Gig's

files in order to make some space. This worked ok. Then, I decided to build

We changed the spelling of a User ID (applewicks to appelwicks) and then
deleted it (since he couldn't remember his password and the button for
password was greyed out so we couldn't change it.) And now we can't re-enter
the same user ID even though it doesn't appear in the window any longer.
Here is the error we get: ODBC SQL server driver: The log in appelwicks
already exists. Thanks!
I believe you have to delete the old ID through Enterprise Manager as well.

Whenever I try to start excel on my computer it displays
an error message and it shuts itself down, any other
program from the office pack works properly, except for
the one I mentioned. I reinstalled it and it does the
exact same thing.

In Outlook 2002, I can easily set the Day View to display
the time increments in 15 minute blocks, but on the
Appointments form, the Start and End Times available on
the drop-down menus, respectively, are in 30 minute
increment blocks only. How can I set the format for the
