I need to specifically check for duplicates between two columns:

For example:

col1                                 col2

493836
1102897

What formula can I use to check the data from col 2 against the data from 
col 1?

I'm trying to highlight duplicate entries in a column. Right now, I'm using the formula found at http://www.cpearson.com/excel/duplicat.htm, which works as follows: My column has a column name in the first row (set to PartID). What I'm doing is highlighting the entire column, selecting Conditional Formatting, and using the equation =IF(COUNTIF(PartID, A2)>1,TRUE,FALSE) as the formula. Outlook 2002 retrieving duplicate messages on startup
I'd be very grateful for help on this problem that has been seriously bugging me. When I start up Outlook, it downloads all the mail from my POP3 server, not just the new mail, and so I get many, many duplicates. So long as Outlook stays running, though, it behaves fine, with each send/receive just getting the new mails, as it should. I use two POP3 accounts, and both send through the same SMTP server (which requires me to log on). I just started using Version 10, and I see I have a home page when I start Great Plains. I see, too, that when I click the Purchasing button in my navigation pane, I see all the Purchasing screens I can access. I down load a PO log from our accounting program (AS400) into excel. From there I have set up different pivot tables and charts for different things. Is there a way that when I copy the po log the next day and paste it on the summary page that it would show all the duplicate entries. Maybe highlight them or something along those lines. That way I can delete them. Some entries might have duplicate po numbers beacuse there is 2 sperate tickets with that number. That is why I need to choose the ones to delete. In Word 2003, after spell checking a document, you would get a message telling you if your document had text tagged with "Do not check spelling or grammar" saying that "text marked do not check spelling or grammar" was ignored. Word 2007 doesn't always let you know that text tagged with "Do not check spelling or grammar" was ignored. I just inherited a database, an .mdb file. We are using Access 2007 but it had not been converted. I now notice that when a record is created in one of the forms, the record is duplicated, so it shows up twice in the form (the form was created in datasheet format in Access 2003). I have an update query that joins three tables, A, P & S. S & P are linked with an inner join, P & A with an outer join from P to A.
