Controlling automatic rows for inserting in Excel lists
One of the nice features of the new Excel 2003 Lists is that when you add new data at the end of the list, Excel automatic creates new rows for the insertion of data. You get a warning that this will happen, and also you get the opportunity to stop Excel showing this warning in the future
Now a simple question: How do you get Excel to show the warning again? I would have thought it was in the option dialog box, but I can't find it

I have a worksheet and i need to be able to have a range of cells from
another worksheet display when the mouse pointer is over a certain cell on
the first worksheet. Is there a way to do this?
If the range of cells is static and the contents of those cells don't
change, you could create a comment for the cells in the first worksheet
and put the values of other other worksheet in the comment.
Other than that I cannot think of any other way, not even with VBA
since XL doesn't raise any event when the cursor is over a particular

I would like to change the overall color of weekend days in the calendar views.
For example, Mon thru Fri could be the default blue color but Sat & Sun
would be a red color.
Or work days would be one color and non-work days a different color.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

My Outlook 2003 pst file is in a non-default location. To point Outlook at
that location, I first tried File Data File Management. This allowed me to
Open my contacts, but it didn't allow me to redefine the Personal Address
Book. Finally, I just closed Outlook, renamed the default pst, opened
Outlook, and then responded to the error messages.
One symptom of this sloppy approach is that when I click on the To button in
a new message, Outlook doesn't go to the correct pst.
Question: How do I clean up my mess? That is, how do I make Outlook
recognize my relocated pst in all cases?

I have a VB.NET app that uses SQL Server. The front-end is an ASP.NET app
that runs at an ISP. I would like to let my client pull up an ASPX page,
request some pre-canned query where they perhaps supply a transaction date

Excel is a pull application. You can use formulas to retrieve a value from
another cell, but you can't use a formula to push a value to another cell.
There are some macro workarounds that will allow you to update multiple cells,
but I find it safer to put the data in one spot and use formulas to grab that

I am attempting to change the default filter for Associated Opportunities.
Here is my problem:
My organization is now filtering/using Opportunities based on a new status field -- as opposed to the 'statecode' field which is default. Now, when you go to an Account and try to view associated opportunities, the view is filtered on the 'statecode' as opposed to our new status we are using for Opportunities.
Is there anyway to change this filter?

I have an Exchange 2003 SP2 environment and when we create a new AD account
and check the option for "User must change password at next logon", users
that access their account initally via OWA cannot log in. They do cannot
log in. The standard OWA error is displayed:

If the change password on first login is disabled, users can login in

I know that MicroSoft removed this feature in Excel 2007. But I don't
understand why they do it. Lots of academic journals prefers black and white
charts than shaded or charts with gradient. Also, it's hard to tell one
series of data from another series if they are printed in black and white.

is probably telling me that the file is read only because another
user currently is using the file.
