Using data from cells in a Query to a MS Access Database
I need to use a MS Excel 2003 spreadsheet to perform a simple set of calcs.
One piece of information I need is stored in an Access Database.
If I could have, I would have converted the spreadsheet to an MS Access
database and programmed the query to use information from text boxes.
However, not all employees in the company have MS Access on their computer.
So I need to use an external query in Excel to look at the MS Access Database.
I can do that pretty easily. The Query Wizard walks you right through it.
However, I need to make it so that the criteria for the query is drawn ...Cell Value vs Status Box Value
The cell value is not the same as the vlaue in the status box, e.g.,
status box shows 6147; cell value shows 64147 (format was with commas).

I *think* this is new in MSM2006, but am not sure. When entering a split
transaction, once the split categories and amounts are entered, you click
"Done" if it all adds up to the total amount of the transaction. No
problem. If the splits don't add up, you're given popup choices to fix it.
Fine. So, by opting for "Done," you've told Money you're finished with
entering the split information and that it's correct.
This takes you back to the main transaction page, which now has "Accept"

How do I add cell B7, B10, B13 (every 3 cells up to 500+)? Note: The other
cells such as B6 and B9 have other forumlas and info that is not to be
included). I did this manually but the formula has now gotten so long that I
get an error saying "formula too long". So I figured, there must be a

shift cells up or down, it will only allow me to shift the entire row up or

I have created a database using linked tables. There are no notes fields in

Where did you create the text field?
Since the table is linked, you need to create the text field in your data
source, where ever the tables actually reside.
If you created the text field (box) on a form, it will not be bound to a
particular record and thus it will show up for all of the records, similar

I am displaying monthly data in a simple line chart. When the data in the
assoicated cells (say for april onwards) is completely blank (not data or
equation in the cell) the line on the chart stops at march (this is the
effect i need).
However, the data in the cells is not typed in but calculated from other
cells. With the presence of the formuae the chart automatically assumes that
the value for the month of april onwards is zero even if the cell value has
been set by the formuea to equal "", causing the lines to drop to zero.

option because you can't change the font. Any ideas?
I don't know which version of 2002 you are using but I can change the font

where you can edit the text, font, and font size.

I used to be connected to a Microsoft Exchange Server & therefore my Outlook
works off an .ost file. However I no longer work for that company so I cannot
link to the Exhange Server. However my .ost file has become currupt some how
& I've tried running scanost.exe directly by going through program files, but
it will not let me run it as it says that Outlook is not closed or some
program that uses Outlook is running & therefore will not scan the .ost file.

In the Monthly view of the calendar, is there a way to stop Outlook
from showing each appointment's 'end' time?
The problem is that it with the default settings, the appointment
subject is trimmed far too short and is thus almost unreadable in the
Monthly view. And even if I don't enter any 'end' time, in the Monthly
view, Outlook still leaves space for it!

I could have sworn that a long time ago, I set up one or more text boxes on
a graph that had formulas in them, so the text that was showing would
automatically change each month.
I'm now using Win2000/XL2003, and not having much luck- I want to put my
legend on the bottom, then a text box under it where I will show 3 values
(one for each legend item) to provide some additional information on the
