Newbie needs a direction

I've been sitting here for ours now and I can't come across the solution:
I have a number of rows (names) with 1 number pr day (columns), and I want
to get an average of the 10 HIGHEST results in each row, ie when the a
given person has more 15 results, the 5 worse results should be excluded.
(forgive me if it's a stupid question, I'm a newbie :))

I want to use the same calculation for any set of agents, whether th

the training group needs to back into the number of agents that need t

I'm very new to this group. I have a question that might turn out to be
very silly. How do you calculate the Average for data across 3 separate
xls files (or across 3 sheets of on worksheet)? I have data collected
from 10 subjects, each having 3 repetitions of exactly the same data. I
need to get the average for every subject. Instead of cutting and
pasting, then getting the average within every sheet, is there a way of
doing this automatically, across the three repetitions?

Was wondering if anyone could kindly suggest a method of determining
the average of a column (or row) of numbers but not including any
cells with a value of zero?
Also, if a range is conditionally formated to flag numerical values
not within a certain range, how can one prevent it from flagging cells
which are set = blank or empty?

The graph I am creating has a lot of noise in it. I want to smooth it out.
Right now I am using a moving average trendline that kind of does the trick.
When I do this I want to be able to work with the points that it has created
to make the trendline. Is there a way to get the points that this line makes
up? Or is there a way to filter the points in the graph such as take every
tenth data point or would I have to do that with the original set used to
make the graph by using a macro or something like that?

Configuration--but HQ is not averaging item costs correctly.
Find an item in the HQ database with zero quantity on hand at all stores.
From any Store Ops, generate a test PO. One line item, an ILC that had zero on
hand and a prior cost of $X. Change cost on the PO to $Y, receive &
commit the PO.
At this point, Store Ops behaves as expected - cost changes to $Y, reorder
cost changes to $Y, quantity on hand, last ordered, last received -
everything updates just like you'd expect.

I have a column that is in general date format, 6/19/2007 5:34:23 PM.
In another column I have a value between 10 and around 50. What I have to do
is get the average of this number by time in a day.
So if the number is 10 all day, then the average is 10. If the number is
changed during the day, say its 5 for half the day then 10 for the other half
of the day, then the number I'm looking for is 7.5.
If the number is 5 for 1/4 of the day and 10 for the other 3/4 of the day
then the number would be around 8.5..... if you follow what I'm trying to say.
