Unstable charts size
I am using in excel 2007 some charts developed in 2003 version; they are
positioned in a single chart sheet (used..location ..option); at the first
opening in 2007 I observed they were all contracted in size, and some of them
missing (or too small to be found even at 400% zoom); after re-arranging,
tried to fix their dimensions using "lock aspect" (looked around for another
option but didn't find); finally, charts seems to be on their own, as their
size is shrinking even while working in another sheet!
Maybe there is someone to know a hidden option/command/trick in order ...How to do this kind of chart in excel?
I wonder if this is possible.

Excel doesn't do transparent shading of area charts; otherwise that
would be the ideal approach. You can get semitransparent column charts

small and crowded and not all my data labels show up. Is there any way
other than dragging the corners to make the chart bigger (which doesn't

I have two groups of people from a survey I recently conducted, "probably"
people, and "definitely" people. Each one provided a title, as well as
choosing the price range they deemed fair for a particular service.
I want to create a chart that captures how many of each group of people have
a certain category of title and chose a specific price range. Thus, the data

Is it possible to set the color of a surface charts lines (area) to the same
color as the data font? Some data point of the same series having different
colors. Looking at pivot table of hourly average data by month (hours on
horizontal axis & months on the vertical). Each month certain hours are
grouped into period A, others in period B, and still other hours into group
C. These are contiguous hours. Month 2 has similar groupings, etc. I'd
like the surface plot to color code group A, B & C hours. Is this possible?

I have a calendar where the user picks a range of dates to see a
weekly or monthly score. However I don't want the dates to show
because it spikes out the scores for each day. If a user has 12 items

In a spreadsheet, I have a list of variables down column A, with information
out to the left. When I chart that information in a stacked bar graph (so the
variables are on the Y-axis of the graph), Excel inverts the order of the
variables. So the variables that were at the bottom of the spreadsheet are
now at the top of the chart. Is there anything I can do to fix this, other

I have an Excel Pivot Table which is showing the average spending on the
Canadian provinces by the fiscal year. The Fiscal Year is on the row area
and the Province is on the column area and the average spending is a
calculated field from the sum of spending divide by the population of a
given fiscal year. At the bottom of the pivot table it show the "Grand
Average" spending of all fiscal years for a given province. I use this Pivot

I have created charts using JW's 'Chart From Combo Box' in chapter 15 from his Excel 2000 functions CD.
This has worked great, being able to choose the required chart from the drop-down list, which I have adapted.

in Excel 2007. I was trying to use Jon Peltier's 'interactive chart
creation' VB scripts. Somehow it does not work on Excel 2007. After Jon's

Having a wierd problem with charts - pie charts specifically - I've
included in collapsible groups in a spreadsheet I use to do analysis.
Hoping someone here can help.
Basically I'm finding that if I size a pie chart that's in a
collapsible group (row group), collapse that group, save the XLS, then
uncollapse the group the pie chart is approximately half its size. If
I do it again the chart is half again its original size.
Does anyone know what's going on? Is there a way to make sure Excel
preserves set chart sizes? I can't find any setting around this, and
