Using "fixed" decimal place function data for charts
Is there a way to graph data which utilizes the "fixed" function for decimal
places? When I try this it will not graph, as the data has become text or
something - even though I've selected number in the cell formats.
If you've fixed the number of digits using only number formats, the values remain
numeric, and they should chart just fine. This means selecting the range, going to
the Formatting menu and selecting Cells, and on the Number tab, selecting Number in
the category list, and setting a number of digits.

I am having a problem that has been going on for several weeks now. I am
slowly trying to figure it out. the problem is that Access 2003 keeps
deleting records after they are entered. Quick view of database: running
Access 2k3 back end and frontends, 12 machines access the DB at any one time,
mixture of Win2k Pro and Win XP pro all patches and service packs installed
for all OS's as well as Access 2k3. Running Client/server set up controlled
by Small Business Server 2k3. database resides on a machine running XP Pro.

When I send data I will normally be sending a packet that is about 100 bytes
or so. I would send each packet with a separate call to "Send". Normally the
Send will return a value equal to the number of bytes I sent. I would just
write my code to call Send whenever I need to send a packet.
Normally I would never receive an error or an indication that fewer bytes
were sent. But if I did, I would handle this error.

I'm having an issue with a user's mailbox - Outlook 2003 or 2007, Exchange
2003, Windows XP - that I could use some help with. The Inbox indicates that
there are 47 unread messges, and when I hightlight the Inbox in the
navigation pane the Status Bar at the pottom of the Outlook window says that
there are 47 total items in the Inbox, but when I look at the message list,
there are only 19 messages visible. I've verified that the View settings are
set to show Messages, and I've verified that the exact same situation exists

How can I create a 3D surface chart where there is not a complete array of x
and y values. The x and y values I have define a surface who's perimeter
is not rectangular. Outside the area that they define, Excel seems to put
Z=0, I don't want any surface plotted in these outside regions. Uniplot

I'm using Filter-by-Form for searching. For each field, when in FBF, the
pull down shows a list of distinct values for that column.
One field on my form, though, is showing a list of non-distinct values, so
the list has over 200,000 entries, many of them duplicates (in this case,
NULL or zero length string).
What's going on? This particular field was fine earlier in development, and
the other search fields are still fine - showing only distinct values.
Any suggestions on where to look/what to do???

I've been reading Edward Tufte's "The Visual Display of Quantitative
Information" (which, by the way, I can whole heartedly recommend to anyone
with a personal/professional interest in statistical graphics).
Anyway, I'd love to implement some of his ideas. For example - using a
chart's axes as a 'range frame' - so that each axis is only shown from the
minimum to maximum of both variables plotted . Meaning that the axes
themselves carry information .

[datetime] column: ActionDate. In a linked server (also SQL2K), this same
table exists which needs to be updated nightly with new records from the

I have a dlg app with one static(dark gray) ctrl the full size of the dlg as
a backdrop then I have several modeless dlgs as children(window children and
as class members obj) of the main dlg. Now everthing has been going great
and I wanted to add a new/open file button to open the common dlg thur
GetSaveFileName() and GetOpenFileName() inside the respected button's

It is not an array function. The cell is part of a Data Table.
You create Data Tables (in Excel 2003 and before) in the Data>Table menu command. In Excel 2007 it is in the Data tab, Data Tools
block, What-if analysis drop down.
Data tables should not be confused with Tables in Excel 2007.
