exporting and importing messages in Outlook 2002
I would like to restore my hard drive on my computer, and would like to export my Outlook messages to a file so I can import them again when my hard drive is reconfigured. When I use the typical import/export wizard, I lose the dates of my e-mails. When the messages are imported back to Outlook, they show up with the date as "None". Is there any way to get around this? Thanks. ...

RE: Serial IO

The other option I saw in MSDN is to use multi-threaded nonoverlapped IO. In this case I would have two worker threads, one for reading and another for writing. Anyone have any examples of this since this is preferred over overlapped IO for portability reasons. thanks, chris Chris Cranford wrote: > On 7/20/2004 3:17 PM, CHRIS CRANFORD wrote to ALL: > > -> I wanted to ping the group...

How to import style sheets?
I pretty much use the same styles in every document. It's tedious to create a new style sheet every time I start a new document. Can I set up an external style sheet and just import it when I create a new document? Two thoughts offhand: 1- When you create your styles why not select the option at the bottom of the New Style dialog for "New documents based on this template"? That stores the style in the Normal.dotm rather than in the document, or 2- Related to the above, but create a template of your own which includes the styles you need & base new files on it. ...

Questions re: OE to Outlook?
Hi: I'd like to upgrade to Outlook. When I use Export files from OE or Import files from Outlook, I get all the saved messages but the folders are not preserved. I just get ALL the messages in my Inbox. How would I move my folders in tact? Also, despite saving my password for my Hotmail accounts, Outlook asks me for the password each time I log into Outlook. Finally, how would I set up multiple users on Outlook as was possible with OE? Please respond to me at suresh_Vr@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance. ...

Editing Data source from imported web query
Hi, I've currently got an Excel sheet with a table I've imported from a web page I've created. This was done using the Data->Import External Data->New Web Query. The page itself is a CGI script and as such takes arguments in the address. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can alter that URL from a cell in Excel. Specifically I want to be able to change the hostname in a cell in Excel and the corresponding ?hostname='blah' to change. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Jim It seems to me that you'll need a macro to do what you're trying to accomp...

I want to know what do you call this work area in the main Publisher window. Is there a term for it? If there is none appears in the Publisher help. Thank you Aarthi P.S. Integration Manager (v9) and Price Level SOP import problems
"Customer6" has default price level = "A". "Item6" has default price level = "STANDARD" and has some additional price levels defined, but not one called "A". When I manually create and SOP Order for the "Customer6" and enter "Item6", I get a warning box "the default price level has been used for this item ..." and I click OK.
