How large can the MS Money software ITSELF get, over time? (plz re
I've been using MS Money for years. The last time I upgraded it was to Small
Business v 2006 as I run a small business from my home office. I have my pers
and bus financials on there since the 90's (not sure of very 1st
transaction...). Features-wise, there's no reason for me to upgrade or change
anything, and, I also on occasion need to view certain Reports which by
nature need to include data from old now-closed bank and credit card accounts
so I do not want to "archive" anything at all. But.. I'm wondering, how long
can this go on? that is, entering financia...deleting data, keep formulas

My daughter owns a used book store and has and inventory of over 10,000
My thoughts were to have three different files for serch purposes. ie
Title, Auther, Subjuct Matter and add a Referance Number to each book. This
way if a customer askes for a book, the serch would be easy.

I have two cells in my spreadsheet where field personnel will enter data.
I'm using Data Validation, Allow Date, to control what they enter.
The cells are:
A1 Year Begin
A2 Proposed Year End
They will put the year they began in the "Year Begin", but I want to limit
what they can enter in "Proposed Year End" to no more than 12 years, that's
the max we allow them to take.
Under Data, I chose "between".
For "Start date" I entered "1/1/2004", just so they don't erroneously type
in previous years.

Generator". I am using the normal distribution, but I want positive values
only. I know that the test I am doing will work with the negative values I
have generated, because the mean/stdev are correct. However, the activity
for which the numbers are associated can never be negative, so my

I am trying to run vlookup for about 5K cells from range of 20k cells.
Now the problem is that some of the cells include only numbers and some
both numbers and letters, like AB11002.
I also have empty spaces on the data so I have to run trim on both data
before running vlookup. Just after trimming both data vlookup runs
correctly, but if I "touch" any cell containing only numbers excel
propably converts it to number and at this point excel don't think
those two cells that before was equal are equal any more.

In a form I have tab pages
One is for consultation data it is a subform link to consultation table. The
other page is Examen subform in which you have a combo box that will list the
consultations of a client.
The problem is when I add a new consultaion record for a client it does not
appear in the list. I have to select another client and then come back to the
preveous client to see the new entry.
For this combo I run Me.my_combo_box.requery on the current and load event.
Somehow this does not refresh or update or ??? my list.

Is there any way to include a search function on a Data access Page? I
have a file that I want to put on a Data access page that will be published
on a shared drive, the problem is that the file has about 1000 records and
to search through each one would defeat the purpose of putting the page up.
Is there anyway to include a search function that would jump to a particular
record as access does on its forms.

...system hibernates just after start up
from time to time, when I start up my laptop (from hibernate) it goes again
to hibernate just after start up complete. when I start again for the second
time, it's OK and I can continue working.
is this a sign of a malware or virus? is there any fix for that?
I'd disable Hibernation
Reboot the PC
(This should clean the Hibernation Folder)
Then Enable it again
And see if that helps

Here's one way:
You have to scroll down a bit, the page's layout is a little funny.
If you don't care about the first date also showing, here's another way

a spread sheet to sort a grocery list for two different stores by aisle and
department. The items to be sorted are in column A, the quantity to
purchase in column B, the aisle #s in column C for one store and D for the
