I have a horizontal bar chart with labels on each bar. They are positioned 
in the centre of the bar. The labels are quite long e.g. 'Marks for the 
analysis stage of the project', but would easily fit inside a bar. The 
trouble is, Excel insists on wrapping the text into a smaller rectangle so 
some labels are on two or even three lines and overlap the top and bottom of 
the bar.

Can I change the width of the data label box so that the text will fit on 
one line?

Unfortunately, Excel doesn't allow you to change the size of a data 
label (or a chart title or axis title). They are not true text boxes in 
this regard.

You can use regular text boxes in place of data labels. They don't 
positions themselves automatically, so you have some work to do.

To add a text box, select the chart, type the label you want, and press 
Enter. A textbox appears in the middle of the chart, ready to be 
formatted and positioned.

To add a text box that's linked to a worksheet cell, select the chart, 
type the equals key, then select the cell with the mouse. This textbox 
will update if the cell changes.

Cannot change line/object color in Publisher 2002

Change line to bar in Line
Hope someone can help on this one...I have 4 data series that I am trying to plot on a Line-Column chart. I need 3 of these to be columns and one to be a line. Exchange 2000 data store size does not shrink
Hi, We have an exchage 2k store that is ~16GB. We have archived ~ 5GB (PST files)and did an offline defrag but the db has shrunk by less than 2%. Currently it will not mount even with the evn when we set the temp size increase registry switch. Any ideas? Off the chart Graph labels, that don't show up?
I have am using a bar graph and one bar is off the scale. In the 2003 version of excel the label for that bar becomes invisible, in older versions I could just move the label down so that it can be seen. Changing Depre Life
I have a number of fixed assets that I need to extend the life. Their in service date was in the prior fiscal year. If I go to the Asset Book screen & change the life, <save> the screen & choose "Year" as the reset option (not Life or Recalculate), shouldn't I get some financial entries reflecting the current year adjustment of depreciation? Randowm data corruption Money 2002
Help! I use Money 2002 Deluxe & Business to manage 6 business bank accounts and 2 petty cash accounts. All of a sudden, Money has started to randomly change some of the entries in the petty cash accounts. It changes them in increments of $50, $100, $150 or $200. For example, one entry that was originally $200 on Jan 1, now reads $400. One on 2/2/04 for $70.40 now reads $170.40. Conversely, on 4/17, the amount was $800 and it is $600! New to Access 2007 I'm putting together a database. One of the fields is test scores which have a value of 0 through 100 OR "ND".
