Convert nvarchar to varchar
Is there a way to do this with DTS or another tool? I have an Access 97 app and I'm converting the BE to SQL2K. The upsize tools all want to convert my Access Text fields to nvarchar, but when I link them back to A97 this causes problems. I manually changed a field to varchar and the problem disappeared. But I have several hundred tables so I need a way to do this automatically. TIA! We use the Access 97 upsize wizard, which doesn't do nVarChar. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=f5c7a907-7c5f-46cb-9157-a1ec4e96083d&displaylang=en We just modified it so th...

VC++ .NET 2002: How To Use the Class View's Properties window to add a message handler for the WN_KEYDOWN message
Hi all I used "The EX05c Example: Scrolling" of the book "Programming With Microsoft Visual C++ .NET Core Reference" (6th Edition) as my 3rd example of MFC exercises to catch up my VC++ .NET 2002 (VC++ 7.0) programming. I started my 'Eg05c' project in the MFC Application Wizard and followed the 1 thru 7 steps instructed in the book (pages 82-85) I believed I did the steps 1, 2 and 3 correctly: 1 - In MFC Application Wizard -Eg05c, I setthe CEg05cView to "CScrollView" 2 - I added the m_rectEllipse and m_nColor data members in Eg05cView.h by typing in "...

.NET Classes: Visio Pro without VS
Hi, I own Visio 2007 Professional, but I do not own Visual Studio -- I only have the Express editions. Because of that, I cannot reverse engineer from Visual Studio to get .NET classes into Visio. How can I get .NET classes into Visio Pro 2007 without the functionality of an entirely separate product? Thanks, John Unfortunately, you have no way to do it in Visio 2007. You will need to have visio 2003 for enterprise architect, reverse and use it in Visio 2007 Enjoy with Visio. <jar349@gmail.com> a crit dans le message de news:7066a237-0f2d-464b-ba43-5ad053e8dcb4@d4g2000prg.googleg...

Chip Pearson's VB Object references
I recently distributed a 2007 workbook that contained pop up calendars courtesy of the Microsoft Office Calendar Control 2007. I foolishly assumed that when a user opened the workbook, Excel would “realise” that there was a Calendar control embedded and automatically enable the VB reference. Optimistic eh? I was looking at ways to automate the enablement of the Calendar reference object – I found this code on Chip Pearson’s site and wondered if a similar thing could be run to automatically select the Calendar control? This code enables the Microsoft Visual Basic Application Ex...

Option to convert from text to mdb is missing

But the Files of Type dropdown does not have any text or xls options. Are the drivers missing? The help system says they should be installed by default, but I'm stuck. Also, I should mention that every time I start up Access, it says it is "Preparing to install" then askes me to wait while it configures Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. Install came to a successful conclusion ...

convert leads -> where are activities ?
One question: whenever I convert a lead, that already has some activities stored to it into a customer (company plus contact) all the old activities, stored to the lead are not there anymore ... what can I do ? THX a lot Ralf Hi Ralf, There is nothing simple that you can do - the activities do not come across by default. The simple option is to look at the details tab and follow the link to the originating lead. The hard way is to write a Post Callout COM object to check for creation of a Contact/Account and copy any activities from originating leads. Stephen "Ralf Ostholt...

Good news: Site search has been fully implemented. You can search the entire site or collection or a single chapter related to specific context to find what you are looking for. Bad news: We are currently out of sync with google. So, if you do a google search you might see a different article than what google shows. So, it is suggested to search the site instead. First of all it is a much more powerful search than what you can do with Google. Plus you are going to see the right thing.
