cannot see updated DLs in Outlook
With my usual Exchange admins both on vacay, I've been charged with creating/updating distribution lists. We're in a Windows2003 and Exchange2003 environment. I've changed permissions on the DL. Updated them to Global/Distribution in AD and synched the DCs using AD Sites and Services (for grins). Still nothing in the address book on the client side. I'm going to peruse the event logs on the Exchange box next, but meanwhile if any of you have an idea of what's going on.... Thanks, JM You can try the following steps (very basic): 1. Go to ADUC, properties of any one DG...

opened Excel w/sheet from email attachment, updated, saved & cant
I emailed an Excel worksheet from my office to my home - opened it from my Outlook Express folder - updated file extensively - saved several times during the four hours I worked - closed & now can't find the updated file. I forgot I had opened it from the email and never saved it to my C drive. However, I saved it several times while I was working on it. Shouldn't the file in my email be the updated saved file? It's not and I can't find it anywhere. I believe this happened once before to me. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I've lost a lot of work if the file...

Import and Export problem
Unfortunately, it became necessary to re-install windows XP due to a problem with a video driver. Before the re-install, I backed up all outlook files by doing an export to a CD and saving all contacts, e-mail folders and calendar to a .pst file. The CD tells me the file is there and they have data in them, but I can not get outlook to import the files back from the CD. I have tried to open the .pst files directly from the CD, specifying outlook at the program, but this will not work. Hopefully, someone will know how to recover my .pst data files as this is the only back-up I have. -- ...

Import raw MIME messages
Hi, Is there a way, or utililty, to import raw MIME messages into Outlook 2003 or Outlook Express? I would like to preserve the base64 encoded attachments, too. I have searched Usenet newsgroups with Google Groups, and I have searched SlipStick.com. I just cannot finding anything, but I cannot believe there is not an existing solution. When Must Lotus be imported To Lotus Before/After
This question is complicated, but one that I will need to do very shortly. I currently have an operating system of Windows 98, and I am wishing to upgrade to Windows XP, Home Edition. Now the complicating part, on Windows 98, I have Lotus SmartSuite 9.0 and the end result is that I wish to have Excel on Windows XP. Must I install a Excel version onto Windows 98 and import my Lotus Files into it, before upgrading, or must this all be done after upgrading? I have a second question as well, and that is must I get Lotus SmartSuite 9.8 which is compatible with Windows XP in order to s...

Importing Vendor/Supplier Items
Is anybody successfully importing their supplier/vendor purchase order items into RMS SO 2.0? We would like to import all the item information from a PO that we have ordered on a vendors web site or spreadsheet (including item descriptions, UPC codes (and set these as our ILCs) pricing etc), so we don't have to manually enter this. I can see a lot of potential problems (existing items versus new items, existing cost versus new cost, different layouts for different suppliers) so any feed back would be appreciated. Is anybody using any add-on modules to accomplish this? If so how do...

Trying to configure two exchange accounts with Office 2007 and Exc
Hi, A few months ago at work we switched servers. We sent from the Exchange 2003 to 2007 and all computers had to be re-added to the domain. While we've had some problems here and there, there is one I have yet to solve. We have a computer running Vista, I think 32-bit, that we to configure two exchange accounts on. We use Office 2007 Enterprise edition. And while I can get both accounts working within the same view in Outlook 2007, I can't get them configured like I had before. One account is my own personal bus account and the other is a shared account. ...

Importing pst into Exchange 2007
Hi all I know there where several postings about this problem some times ago. Is there still no way to import pst's into Exchange 2007 Server? I know the different migration scenarios, but the fact is that I received two DVD's with pst-files, which where exported from an Exchange 2000 Server using exmerge. And now I have to import these files into an Exchange 2007 Server! Has anyone an idea, how I manage this? Please don't tell me that this is still not possible! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx and regards Paul On Wed, 10 Jan 2007 21:36:04 +0100, &q...

Update Now and NationalCity Online Banking
I posted a message a week ago about my Update Now not showing the option to update my banking information in Money 2006 Deluxe. Someone suggested it maybe not be working because I have "Access money data on the web" turned on. I should disable this and it may fix the problem. I tried this and still did not fix the problem. I played with it for over a hour last night going to the "Manage Online Services" screen and trying to set up my online services again. I go through selecting my bank, then entering my login information. I click the ok button to continue and it ei...

Quicken import
When importing Quicken data into Microsoft Money 2004 deluxe, checking account shows a balance of 0.00. Are you asking a question or bragging? Why do you think it shouldn't show a balance of $0.00? Are we talking starting balance or final balance? Does it import the transactions as you expect? Is this a QIF account import or a Quicken data file conversion? We are willing to help but you've just got to throw us some bones here. Sorting imported text
I have a spreadsheet into which I've imported a great deal of data in two columns only. I set out rows one, three and five of hundreds of such rows. The cells in column A consist of place names. (The "C" following the place name stands for "City", the "A" for "Area".) The cells in column C represent the population of the city or area, as the case may be. I've formatted the cells in column C as numbers. Albury (C) 44887 Armidale Dumaresq (A) 24596 Ashfield (A) 40258 I want to sort the placenames in order of their po...

Importing eml files and Web Browsing in Outlook
How can I import ".eml" files into Outlook 2007, this is the format in which the Windows Live Mail client keeps mail messages. Can I get Outlook to bring up it's browser when I click on a link in a mail item. My default browser is Firefox, and that's not going to change. Ideally I'd like the built in browser (which I appreciate is in fact the IE engine) be used, with an option via the context menu to open the link in the default browser, or better yet a menu of the installed browsers - which in my case would be IE8, Firefox3, Opera9.5 and Maxthon2.1.2. -- TUT &...
