Outlook integration issues

We're running Outlook 2K3 and the CRM client with ver. 1.2, when I try to import the contacts list it tells me that Outlook cannot be started even if it is running. Can anyone assist me with troubleshooting this issue.

Outlook invaded by Jeeves
Hi, When I open outlook and then click on a folder from the list (inbox, calendar etc) the folder opens for a few seconds but then before I have time to do anything I am redirected to a web page of "ask jeeves" search results. For example, when I click on 'calendar', the calendar opens up but within seconds I am presented with the "Ask Jeeves" search results as if I had typed "Outlook: Calendar" into an search box on the ask.com web site. I never use ask.com and haven't changed any settings in outlook recently. Everything was fine from the time I fir...

Installing Sales For Outlook light client in hotdesk environment.
Hi, The client I work for has a hot desk style of working and would like to distribute Sales For Outlook (light version) to CRM users as they log onto different PCs within the organisation in (a classical hot desk scenario). The problem I've encountered is, that once a user has installed SFO on any PC within an organisation. Whenever they log onto a different PC within the organisation the MSCRM.PST file from the original installation is automatically copied into the C:\Documents and Settings\[userName]\Application Data folder. I believe this is a side effect of the technology used by ...

Outlook vs Outlook Express address books
Situation: my mail/news client of choice is Outlook Express - for agenda/main contacts list I wish to use Outlook. Important reason for continuing with Outlook is that I need it in order to sync with my PDA cellphone. Problem: I have to set the mail transport as Outlook otherwise the sync software does not work (despite the fact that I do not actually sync mail - just the agenda/contacts/notes)... result is that I appeared to have lost my address book for Outlook Express in the process. Is there any way I can run the two address books independantly? (I also notice that I can no longer create ...

"Too many fields defined" issue
Hi there I have an access table that has about 255 columns. Several fields need to be adjusted to a Yes/No instead of its current setting of text. When I try to change it, I get a "Too many fields defined" message that pops up. Followed by "Errors were encountered during the save operation. Data types were not changed. Properties were not updated." What is the best way to resolve this? Thank you in advance. Integration Manager SOP import shouldn't require SOP setup access
Per KB #896549 users must have access to the Sales Order Processing Setup window in order to run integrations for sales orders. Users are not required to have access to that window to enter sales orders manually. They should not have to have that level of access when running integrations. -- Jim@TurboChef ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Can you set the primary email address from outlook 2003?
We have parent company and a subsidiary which are served by out exchange server (2003 Std.). There are two SMTP domains. Some employees do work for both companies and it would be useful for them to have an schizophrenic email presence (i.e., two email addresses, one with each company name). Giving them a second email address associated with their mailbox is simple enough. However, I do not know how to (allow *them* to) control the "from" address on outbound mail. This can be some by changing the primary email address using the exchange system manager. Is there an end-user way of doi...

Something is modifying my Outlook.PST file
I have Outlook installed on both my desktop and laptop. I have been synchronizing the Outlook.PST file between the two quite successfully for years. So I started monitoring the situation by regularly looking at the modified time on the files on both machines. So far this morning something has modified the Outlook.PST file on both machines seve...

Access and Outlook Calendar
I've searched thru this forum and thru the Outlook forum and can't find exactly the issue I need to resolve. I have developed a calendar in AC2003. My user is now requesting the ability to view (or thru VBA) the entries in the Outlook calendar from within access? Excel Solver Issue
I am trying to use the excel solver and am running into some issues. The solver is giving me results that I know are wrong and I cannot get it to give me the correct results. I am using it to calculate a linearity which is based off of the STDEV and AVERAGE of a group of numbers. The formula I am using is: =TRUNC(SQRT(SUM(($B$2-AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6))^2,($B$3-AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6))^2,($B$4-AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6))^2,($B$5-AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6))^2,($B$6-AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6))^2)/4),0)/AVERAGE($B$2:$B$6) This is basically the longhand version of STDEV/AVERAGE which I have found gives the actual number I am lo...
