McAfee 8.5.0i on access scan slows down MS Dynamics CRM web client

Our organization's McAfee 8.50i slows down MS Dynamics CRM v4 - on premise
web client considerabley when loading forms and data.
Besides completely disabling McAfee, does anyone know how to configure
McAfee (or configure CRM) to ignore CRM related form and data loads.
When disabling the oncaccess scan, or when disabling the scriptcan - it
improves lookups from 8-9 seconds to 4-5 seconds.
However, the organizatin policy is to have these enabled.
What to do?

We too have the same issue, does anyone know of what needs to be excluded in
McAfee from scanning?

Hi,

I made a similar post on the Partner newgroup.

The Microsoft Support Engineer is kind enough to reply,

Quote
"another option that has minimized the impact of this scenario is
upgrading to McAfee 9.0."

Hi

We've just upgraded to CRM v.4.0 and are seeing the same behaviour here.
Disabling McAfee VirusScan on client machines does improve performance.
Obviously this is not an option. Does anyone know of any good workarounds?

We have this exact same problem... CRM no matter how you access it, with
McAfee script scan enabled hangs the process up for up to 15 seconds... If
you disable script scanning it works almost instantaneously.

Is there a process we can exclude for this to work more efficiently.

There's no way I can pass it by our security expert to say "we should just
disable script scanning. There has to be another way.

Thanks for the responses so far, the issue still remains.
We've found disabling scriptscan does help, but is still not as fast as if
McAfee was disabled all together. Still looking for a better solution or a
way to configure McAfee to somehow skip scanning IE when CRM is the
source.....

I have an issue....and it's totally my BAD!!! If anyone could give me some advise how to fix this I would be very grateful. The place I work just recently switched out our computers and upgraded our software from Office 2000 to Office 2007. I had created several databases in the Access 2000 Version with securiity. So when I went to convert my database to Access 2007 (this is the version I now have), it would not let me convert because it said I needed Administrator Permissions. Exchange 2000 Running Real Slow
I'm hoping to find some help with this wierd problem. All of a sudden today my server started to "crawl" when I investagated I found that the server was very unresponsive. After doing a little digging I noticed that there was a "PreSubmissionQueue" with over 1500+ items in it. Most of it looks like spam. Using the suggestions from other posts I checked my NDR and whether I was a "relay". I also stopped AV and GFI from running. The system still runs real slow. Duplicate CRM Email Activities
I have seen many posts about duplicate email activities created when one of the recipients is an internal user. From what I have read it seems clear that most people understand why this is caused (The exchange server the mail router is installed on is a smtp gateway and uses smtp to communicate with the exchange server where the users mailboxes sit therefore the crm mail router routes the email to crm and it is entered as an activity even though the initial email already created an activity.) IE 8 loses last tag(s) and displays </ at bottom of page

Response Time When retrieving data into an ACCESS form from SQL se
It seems like the slow response time (about 700 records) from SQL Server database, is related to retrieving one record at a time instead of retrieving all records at the same time into recordset for the ACCESS form. This retrieval generates considerably network traffic. What I would like to know is how response time can be improved. Is there a setting in ACCESS to improve the retrieval process or is this something that is related to programming such as an event?? In this case of 700 records the response time is about 4 to 5 minutes. The response time is instantanous for just a few ...

Finding the biggest number out of 8 variables
