To enable https for CRM you can not only make changing in IIS, you also need
to make some changes in CRM.

If you get the Internet Facing Deployment Tools
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948779) from Microsoft this will allow you
to setup https. I know the name says Internet Facing Deployment, but it can
also be used to change internal deployments as well.

This tool should make all the changes you need.

Hope it helps

MS CRM
Hello, I would like to receive advice regarding Microsoft CRM. The company that I represent is in negotiations with a partner of Microsoft about purchasing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. One of our most important needs is to enable our sales and tech. representatives from abroad to use the system as well. Our reps are currently using Outlook2003/Exchange2003 using RPC over HTTP. The current version of MS CRM 3.0 doesn’t support RPC over HTTP. We have been informed that our only option for the time being is to work using VPN and Terminal Server. We have also been informed that the next ...

RPC-HTTP very frustrating
Hello, I have OWA working on my Exchange Server, using SSL. I am trying to get RPC-HTTP to work and it has been alot of frustration. I have tried to take the Certificate out of the mix by within the Local Area Network going to https://server/rpc. It tells me I should not trust the certificate and I say trust it. Then it takes me to a username and password field. Whatever I put into these fields does not help. I have tried every which way with my domain and username and it will not accept it. Can anyone help? RPC-HTTP broken after Office SP1
Ever since I've installed Service Pack 1 for Office 2003, I haven't been able to use RPC over HTTP. I thought it may have been an exchange problem since I had just upgraded to SP1 on the exchange server, but I can still use webmail. It turns out that even though I have Outlook configured correctly, it is trying to connect via TCP/IP only, instead of HTTP. I have followed the setup to the letter in the Knowledge Base articles. Is there a little mod I must do to get it to work or should I just reinstall Outlook without SP1? Joe FWIW, SP1 for Exchange changes RPC/HTTP behavi...
