How to do auto sign-off in crm 3.0 emails?

I can't see a way of having an automatic personalised sign-off when creating
emails in CRM 3.0 (Like you can with autotext in the fat outlook client)

As a workaround I've created a text template which I can easily access
within the email form. However this has two problems.

1. By default in the system - inserting a template forces the subject of
that template to be applied to the message thus wiping out the email's
current. Any one know how to turn this "feature" off?

2. Using templates for email sign-off's isn't scalable.

Surely there has to be an easy way to do it? It's impractical to go back to
the fat outlook client to do it as you may want to link the current reply etc
and use the additional fields only available in the CRM 3 web forms.

Surely this would be a common problem so hopefully I'm just missing
something and there is an easy answer!

Cheers
Gregg

Similar to the way you have hit upon, the recommended way is to create a
"Personal Template" (Tools > Options > Personal Email Templates) in CRM and
insert that as your signature (as opposed to using a systemwide organization
template).

Thanks Matt. That provides a slightly more paletable workaround in terms of
scalability as personal templates won't clog up the global list. However it
doesn't solve the automatic deletion of the current subject line with the
template's subject line. This is most frustrating when you are doing a reply
for instance as you lose the subject (and the crm token for that matter) and
have to retype it or copy it in.

I gather this is the same for personal templates? (ie: It forces you to put
a subject in as part of the template?) - I'm not at my test system to do a
check on this myself.

Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Gregg

Import of Data into RMS 2.0?
We will be converting to RMS soon. Is there anyway we can import our old sales history(Monthly) into RMS 2.0? Hi newbie. I am not aware of a free utility that will import all data, including sales transaction history to your RMS system. Retail Realm has an Import Tool that will do this if your current system is Microsoft Point of Sale, possibly POS 2009, but it is licensed (meaning you need to pay for it). Otherwise, I believe you are limited to importing items, customers, suppliers, and UPCs as Aliases, no history. HTH..... "newbierms user" wrote: >...
