i found that my application didnt even shows its dialog box

given you have provided absolutely no code or whats not working, I
would suggest go back to the sample and compare it with your code.

For adding days, use the DateAdd function. It won't return an invalid date
The Weekday function returns the number of the day, for instance this
returns 6 for Saturday, tomorrow it will return 7 for Sunday.

One way to show negative dates/times in excel is to use the 1904 date system.
Be aware that any dates in your worksheet will change by 4 years and a day.
But if you're adding hours, how do you get a negative value?

I have an Add_In workbook that is refrenced by another workbook
(MyWorkbook.xls). When users open MyWorkbook that Add-In opens hidden behind
the scenes. I'd like to have the Add-In automatically open as Read Only
instead of being prompted for a password or click Read Only, is this
