CRM Web links appear to be broken

I am able to open the home page and move throught the interface. The issue I
have:

I open "HOME" and then move throught the website, I hit errors when trying
to return to "home" and other links. Errors occur 95% of the time. The
error shows as a permission problem, but if I continue to navigate through
the site I eventually get to home. I have a new server and just installed MS
SBS 2003 with CRM 1.2. I am also unable to load the Outlook client -->
during installation, the host computer is unble to locate the CRM server -->
the same server I am have web link issues with on the host computer.

Any help?

Are you running this on a Windows XP SP2 client? There is a known issue
with Internet Explorer running CRM XP SP2 installed.

The bug is described as:
"You cannot return to the Microsoft CRM home page via the bottom navigation
bar while using the Microsoft CRM Web application. "

You can read about various SP2 fixes here:

Quick question:

Does the server hotfix have to be applied? We are running Windows 2000 on
the server. I applied the hotfix to the client and it didn't seem to work.
Also, if I do install the hotfix on the server, can anyone tell me if a
restart is required? Server restarts are VERY tricky in my office and I like
to avoid them whenever possible.

Thanks

Copy & pasted links won't highlight/activate
Using Outlook 2003. While copying & pasting links into an e-mail, the links won't highlight/activate like they used to. As before, all I had to do was hit the Enter key while the cursor was at the end of the link and it would activate. Now it now longer works. Is there a fix for this? Track in CRM function
Hello. Upon selecting the “Track In CRM” button from the CRM line in Outlook I have two questions based on situation: 1) If the contact exists in CRM it appears to attach the email but provides no notice unless you try to attach it again? True? 2) If the contact does not exist it attaches the email where? In v1.2 it opened a window and made the user create a record. I think it is attaching or tracking the email in CRM somewhere because trying to do it again, I'm asked if you want to attach/track it again. Does this make sense? Printing single labels directly from CRM 4.0
Hi! We are currently moving from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0 while at the same time introducing many new users to the system. One feature that we would like to have, partly to satisfy new users, would be to print individual account's or contact's addresses to a labelwriter. Basically, the idea would be that from any view you could select 1-n accounts or contacts, then click print label on the toolbar, and then the labels would print from your selected labelprinter. Especially when printing only one or a few labels, this approach would be preferable to printing eg through mailmerge. I'm n...
