Access to VB tools
Does anyone know of any freeware tool that might help in this? I
have looked at a couple commercial access to vb conversion tools but
they are pretty expensive so I am wondering if anyone knows of a
freeware or open source tool that we could use to save us some time and
Tony Toews lists a few tools at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/accesstovb.htm: I'm not aware whether any of
them are free.
The general consensus is that conversion tools do an incomplete job at best.

A text file has data in a format like the below:
Cell 1 data
Cell 2 data
Cell 3 data

I guess I can read this using some VBA code posted at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/readtextfile.htm, add an Instr
function to it so that when I read the text file, I know when to
insert the data properly in the table.

I have inherited an Excel workbook with several worksheets containing
charts that get their source data via MSQuery from an Access
database. The users require that this stay in Excel so I have to find
a way to make it work.
The problem I am having is that whenever the user opens the workbook
they are prompted to tell it whether or not to allow updates. The sad
part of this is that we cannot rely on the numerous users to not
accidently push the wrong button and allow it to update, and thus
destroy the current data. I have to find a way that the user can open
the workbook, let it update, sav...CRM documentation on synch. back to Outlook?

...No return on basic search of activities, CRM 4.0
If I go into activities and view all of my activities I get the full list of
phone calls and emails. However if I try to search for an activity that I've

returned if I search on either term, even though an activity on this account

If I go to Advanced Find, I can search for John Smith and/or The Company and
the contact is then returned in the search.
Why is the basic search not working?

Exchange 5.5 on NT4
I want to set up a Support mailbox which all can read but only
some can send-as. When I created it I associated it with the

But if I connect via a POP3 or IMAP client and authenticate

Other User's Folder.
What permissions do I need for read-only access? The Help on the

CRM is only accessible from outside your domain/network if you have set up
the CRM server to use an Internet Facing Deployment (IFD). With IFD, you
absolutely can configure Outlook clients over the internet. However, if
you have not set up IFD, then the client workstation must be connected to
the LAN or VPN'd into the LAN to configure it.

Our secretary makes appointments for colleagues using the button 'CRM
appointment' in SFO (Sales for Outlook).
In the 'Scheduling' tab attendees can be added for the appointment. As
our secretary does not want to include herself in the attendee list,
she removes her own name in this list.
However, after saving and closing, the appointment not only a appears
in the calendar of the attendees but also in the one of the secretary.
My question is whether it is possible to avoid this, hence making a CRM
appointment that does not include the organizer.
