CRM 3.0 on SBS 2003 to CRM 4.0 Upgrade

Any pointers or advise on the above upgrade?

Basically have SBS 2003 SP2 running CRM 3.0 and want the most efficient
upgrade route.
I have R2 upgrade for server which will give me SQl 2005 and CRM4.0 upgrade
as well.

I'm digging for white papers but haven't found anything fully comprehensive
yet. They all deal with just one part.

Thanks

Search for my 'perfect storm' post as I had to exactly this for a
client. Basically you upgrade on the SBS box, grab the database,
install CRM on the new box and then use the deployment manager to
attach the old database.

Ok Thanks.
I'd seen that and have printed it off.
I was hoping that it might be possible to go direct to CRM 4.0 after the SQL
2005 upgrade rather than install CRM 3.0 again and then upgrade.
But I guess it's no big deal either way.
I presume I need to back up all my databases in SQL2000 before uninstalling
as I have them for various otehr applications as well.

You shouldn't need to reinstall v3 unless you're going to an interim
server to upgrade. In your case, assuming there is no interim server,
the process would be upgrade to R2 and then upgrade to v4. On the new
box install CRM v4 and then use the deployment manager to get the
original DB on there.

I have Publisher 2003 on an XP OS and trying to print a newsletter with 2 pages per tabloid size paper. I was able to do this OK with Publisher 2000. Exchange 2003 on a Domain Controller.
Hi All, I have a WinNT/Ex5.5 to AD 2000/03 and Ex2k3 migration to do. The client is a small company with only about 15 users. The are a network solutions company that needs flexibility so SBS is out of the question. My initial thought was to have 2 Win2k domain controllers/file servers and one Win2k3 member server running Ex2k3. They only have 2 Win2k server licenses and 1 Win2k3 server license. The problem is that they want to be able to use RPC over HTTPs. I understand that requires a 2003 Global Catalogue server. So, my plan of the 2000 DCs doesn't work. My question is:...
