CRM 3.0 installation: Reporting Services Error

Hi guys,

I'm actually trying to install MS CRM 3.0 Prof. Edition.

My configuration is:

- Windows 2003 Server 32 bit set as domain controller (and up to date)
- MS SQL 2005 standard Edition with Reporting Services 2005 (and up to date)
- Exchange 2003 server (up to date)

I want to install MS CRM on my server and get this error (this is not the
exact version of the error message as I get it in french - i'm installing a
french version):

Failed publishing CRM reports
Unknown error (0x80005000)

Reporting Services seem to be well configures and there is no bad events in
the event manager...

Does anyone could give me a clue to resolve this problem?

Thank you very much.

Whybe,

Typically what is happening here is SSL fails because the installation
identifies a different name in the certificate for the SQL server. You
may not have a certificate that is properly configured for the SQL
server or some other certificate realted error.

Hope this helps,

Thank you very much Jeff,

Indeed, it helped me as I successfuly installed the server.

It was a mix problem of certificate (wrong name, so I created the good
certificate) and Kerberos Auth (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871179/fr)

The only remaining problem is that when I try to log in the server (using
http://myserver:5555, from the server or from any computer on the network), I
get this message, saying "Authentication error. MS CRM could not log you into
the system. Check your user is activated and is granted at least one security
role. Contact your administrator bla bla".

I cannot get rid of this message, even by changing the auth mode in the MS
CRM website (trying for example anonymous, or base auth).

Does anybody have a idea?

Thank you guys

Microsoft CRM 3.0 Installation 11-08-07
Good Day board, Quick and to the point. I'm installing a trial copy of Microsoft CRM 3.0 that I got at a computer conference recently and I've gotten everything to work in the System Requirements dialog except that it's telling me that "The minimum required version is SQL Server 2000 SP4 (8.0.2026)". Strange this is that I do believe that I have SQL Server 2005 installed on the machine. Any idea how to be absolutely sure of what version I have installed? Have you choosed the right name of SQL server during installation set- up?` You have to make it sure if it is ...

Reporting from Project Server
I dont know if i need to ask this question here or in the Access section. I have an ODBC connection to the Project Server database so I can make reports through Access. Access' limit of 255 fields per table is causing me some trouble. for example, the MSP_VIEW_PROJ_PROJECTS_ENT table has well over 255 fields. Access only shows me the first 255 fields. how can I change that so I can see all the fields in that table? thanks, Hadi Hadi, I have not tried this yet it may be a viable option. Have your DBA create a view that pulls the key fields to this table and the specifi...

CRM and Outlook Integration 07-22-03
Hello, I haven't seen a whole lot of great documentation on this - so if someone knows where some exists then please tell me - but I'm curious as to how featured the Outlook/CRM integration is? The help states you can only add error bars to data series in 2D area. Is there a way to add them to a 3D chart? Hi, I would not have thought so.
