Big problem with VPN
I'm having a ****in' big problem with a VPN.
This is my scenario:
I have a Windows Server 2003, with DNS,DHCP,AD and ISA Server running.
This server has 3 network cards:
192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 (DNS/DHCP)
192.168.254.254 / 255.255.255.0 / 192.168.254.1
(This card is connected to a SpeedStream 5200 (router mode, not
189.80.x.x / 255.255.255.252 / 189.80.x.x
Here goes the problem:
I made a VPN using ISA Server.
The VPN connected sucessfully, but i wasn't able to see any server file,

I seem to have lost my icon on the desk top for CRM. It is now just a box
with a couple of dots (generic icon). I have tried to change the icon and it
will not take.
I have also lost the simple little icons in IE 7 search bar.

We're currently running MS CRM V3.0 and are looking into upgrading to MS CRM
The Outlook client was a big hassle when installing and I've heard it's more
stable and better integrated this time: is it?
We had to go through redoing users' Outlook profiles, should we be prepared
to do that again?
Also, is there anyway of modifying the default synchronization filter in the
V4.0 version so that we can do a roll out by SMS with a modified filter
(we'll probably use marketing lists as the filter again)? We'd like to avoid

We have this problem long time ago and we are desperate.
The CRM 4.0 can't go Offline, the error text is "A SQL Server error
occurred. Try this action again .If the problem
continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions...".
Seems that the ticket ID between the Server and Client is lost. If we run
the Diagnostic Tool and fix the Synchronization, it work again but the next
day we have the same issue.

I cannot seem to get the CRM 4 email router configuration manager working.
I created configuration profiles for my inbound (exchange) and outbound
(smtp) configurations. I added a deployment for my CRM and gave it my CRM
url. When I click the "Load Data" button on the "users, Queues, and Forward
Mailboxes), it throws an error about unable to retrieve user and queue
information. I know the url is correct. I have tried it with local system
account permissions as well as domain credentials (with a user in the

On my CRM 4.0 server I get two errors in the applications event log about
1) Error: Deletion Service failed to clean up table=CampaignActivityBase
2) Error: Deletion Service failed to clean up table=ActivityPointerBase
The server is a clean install and not a upgrade.

Use Advanced Find and enter a query for (in this case, Campaign)
Then go back and delete it.

It seems as though when someone is tracking things into CRM from Outlook
sometimes it appears that it cannot find CRM and the client stops working. I
am unable to synch and I am unable to track anything into CRM. I have been
uninstalling the Client and then reinstalling it. I don't want to have to do
that. Is anyone out there experiencing the same issues? I really want to
know if it is a bug in the new version of CRM 3.0 or if there is another
solution to the problem?

I am a new store location ready to open. We are using RMS HQ/SO 2.0.0108,
have 35 HQ licenses and 33 current locations.
Using the same process used to define the earlier stores in HQ and export
the databases (including the same Template), the last store created would not
connect through the Client to HQ Server when I installed it on the store
I have found the configuration table of the store's database is empty.
Looking at the HQ database:
There is an entry for the new store in the Store table.
There is NOT a row for the new store in the Configuration table.

We have CRM3.0 and email tracking is on. For 99.9% of cases, CRM seems to
track the emails well, but we have found a few emails that have not been
tracked. Of these, I have narrowed them down to a couple of causes
1) recipient was in the BCC line
2) attachment > 5mb
however, there are still a number of emails that dont fit either of those
CRM (or the network connection to CRM) not available to the time the emails
arrived in the CRM sink mailbox?

I was attempting to upgrade a very basic installation of CRM 1.2 to CRM 3,
and everything was going very well until halfway through, the installation
stopped making progress and stayed on the action
There is still disk activity, but I left it for 45 minutes with NO progress.
