Product Key Validity Check?
Hi, I work in a retail environment and we have an open software package (Office H&S 2007). We need to find out the validity of the license key to see if it is still sellable or not (May have been opened by one of our techs to install as trial on another unit). So is there some kind of validity check to see if the key has been used at all yet? Would hate to sell it and have a customer come back saying it only allowed less than 3 installs. Installing is not an option, because that means we would be using the key, hence making the product unsellable. No there is no such ch...

How to save color images in C-M-Y-K format???
I prepare newspaper advertisements for my small company using Publisher. Although the graphics I use appear in color on my monitor, and the newspaper tells me that they appear in color on their monitors, too, when they are finally printed in the newspaper they only come out in grayscale or black and white. The paper tells me that this has to do with the way I save my creative work, that I need to be saving it in C-M-Y-K color format and not whatever the other color format is (which apparently is the default format used by Publisher?). I have no idea how to change the format default ...

exchange checking other pop3 accounts on other servers
I have a local exchange server on a small network. our email is hosted by our isp on a dedicated server I have using mail enable. I connect to it via pop 3. I have the exchange box on the network to have a mail store so I don't loose email. That's it's only real funciton. When I get email through outlook 07 it's from the other server and then it saves in exchange etc. is there any way in exchange 2003 or the upcomming 2007 server to have IT check the other server box so I don't have to do it through outlook? Can't balance with missing check numbers
I've been using MS Money 2003 for a long time now and this is about the first glitch I've ever seen. I'm trying to balance my checking account and I have a gap between checks 300 and 351 where I discarded a pack of checks my bank sent me because they had the wrong info on them. Would this cause Money to refuse to go further when I click the Next button to take me to my reconcilation page? After I've entered the beginning and ending balance for the period and then click Next, it just won't do anything. Do I have to list 49 checks, all saying *VOID* to make it work? Than...

Check for # of Words in Function
Apologies in advance, I am NOT a coder, I am trying to fix VBA someone wrote for me by 'slogging' through it on my own. Making some decent headway on easier stuff but I am at an impasse. How do I restrict only 1 of 2 check boxes be checked?
I have 2 check boxes in an excel worksheet, and I would like to restrict it so only one can be check at a time. So, if 1 on them is checked, and you try to check the other one, a warning will pop up to stop you. You could use code to restrict this, however what you should use are the option buttons, they were made for this Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Board" wrote: > I have 2 check boxes in an excel worksheet, and I would like to restrict it > so only one can be check at a time. Checking values in different fields.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with something. I currently have a table with stock levels and a re-order level. When the stock level gets below the re-order level I then contact the supplier and order new stock. I was wanting to create a query that checks the values of these two fields and then shows me all the records that need re-ordering. I however, don't know how to compare the values of two fields. Could anyone give me a hand? Many thanks. On Wed, 9 May 2007 15:35:01 -0700, rednikcam wrote: > Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with something....

Take non-qualifying discounts Select Checks Screen default
Can anyone tell me how to default the checkbox to Take all non-qualifying discounts to always be checked? Eric, I'm trying to recall which window this is in but it doesn't really matter. There isn't anything in GP that defaults this value that I remember and so the solution is that you'd have to write a bit of VBA code to do this. Probably just one line to set it. My guess is the Window_AfterOpen() event and your line would look like: TakeAllNonQualifyingDiscounts = true This assumes that the field shows in VBA as I've guessed above. 941 will be wrong because of check reprint error: KB Article 91706
If you do a payroll check reprint, KB Article 917063 explains an error that occurs and a workaround. THE WORKAROUND IS NOT A COMPLETE FIX. Table UPR30200 which is a summary table of Federal Taxes is still incorrect. It does not match the detail in UPR30100. It appears that UPR30200 is used to create the Schedule B report of the 941. So our schedule B report was still wrong. If you rely on the 941 Schedule B report, your 941 will be incorrect. The error should be fixed ASAP and the KB article corrected. This error would result in underpayment of Federal Taxes. ---------------- This post ...

Why does cursor move position in a cell I'm trying to edit?
I have just updated from Microsoft 2000 to Microsoft 2003. My first attempt to use Excel has failed. When trying to edit a particular cell on an old spreadsheet I pressed f2 then placed the cursor where I wanted to add some more data. However, it only allowed me to type a couple of words & then the cursor moved itself to another position, a few words further on, not to the end of the line. When I moved the cursor back to where I wanted it & tried typing again it just moved away again. The cell in question contains only words, no sums or formulae. I'm sorry if this is a fu...

Replacing Powerpoint 97 SR-2 on M/S Office 97 Pro Edit on Win XP
I dread asking this in case someone descends on me like a ton of bricks and says the answer is in the posts already! - but i I have never used the PP 97 which came with the MS Office 97 Pro Edit I have installed on my computer which uses Win XP with Ser Pack 3. I am about to embark on using PowerPoint for the FIRST time and wonder whether I should, before anything else, acquire a more up to date version first - and one that will work problem free with my XP - which version should I go for and will it, on loading, overwrite and replace the Powpoint I already have and still operat...

Date format for printing checks in various locations
Hi, I was wondering whether the date format used when printing checks is customisable? Specifically, we need to be able to print check in mm-dd-yyyy format for our American office as well a in dd-mm-yyyy for our Australian and English offices. Our basic configuration is Win 2000 SS2000 for the backend. We use Citrix for our US & UK offices to login to the great plains databases here in Australia. Any help would be appreciated Cheers michaelm@towersoft.com.au You could set up a calculated field that looks at the global company id field to determine the date format. The calculated...

cell checking
I have two Sheets (sheet1,sheet2), Sheet 1 has corridinate data imported from Autocad. On Sheet 2, cells B57 through B76 have IF statements in them for calculating data from Sheet 1. What I want to do is check if cell B76 equals 0. If the cell equals 0 then go to cell b75 and check if it equals 0 and so on. When it gets to the first cell that is greater than 0 do a calculation that would return a value to cell B77, and stop checking. Is this possible without using VBA programming ? Thanks for your input Lee, In cell B77, use the array formula: =INDEX(B57:B76,MAX((B57:B76>0)*RO...
