Changing a record from active to inactive issue
Hi I've got a set of CRM training courses and the status of the course progresses through various stages. However I noticed that when we make the course inactive (i.e. after it's delivered or cancelled) the status changes to cancelled. I've found in the attribute for the record that the inactive state only had cancelled so I've added delivered as the other option but assumed this would copy across from the active state of the record. But it doesn't the record just defaults to what ever option I chose as the default. How can I get the inactive status to reflect the active status when the record is made inactive? Thanks.

Hi Pat, Have you thought about using a Javascript code linked to the onchange of the status? Or perhaps a workflow process. I'm having issues with the above 3 updates. I've attempted to install them numerous times but I keep being notified about them and when I access windows update they show as needing to be installed. However my history shows that they have been installed successfully at least 3 times each. Activity Error
While using the outlook client (1.2) under outlook 2000, while off-line, when a new phone or letter activity is created and then saved, we receive an error dialog box stating "An error has occurred. For more information, contact your system administrator" with try again or go back buttons. When I click try again, the same dialog reappears. I have a problem importing text files into Excel 2007. I'm currently working on a German version of Excel 2007 running on a German version of Windows XP Pro. Whenever I try to import data from a text file (csv), every number with a decimal separator is recognized as text. This clearly is because of the decimal separators. I have a list of 7 dates, any Monday - Sunday, and I want to write a macro, that when run, will change the first date to 7 days in the future, and then have all the other dates respond to the change in the first date. Automatic payment dates seem to arbitrarily change themselves
This has happened to me 3 times. I have several dozen automatic payments set up and usually they work fine. But suddenly inexplicably seemingly arbitrarily 3 times it has happened where the "next due date" increments itself by 2 months for all my automatic payments. To fix it I have to manually cancel each APAY series and adjust the next due date and set it back to autopay - quite a big nuisance. I have set up my signature for new messages and reply to messages to have an Arial font of size 10. New messages work fine but when I click reply to a message my signature is font size 12. E-mail Delivery Issues to Group within a Group
Here is an example of a prevailing issue we are experiencing. Our Exchange servers are running Windows 2003, EX2003SP1, and PCs using Office 2003. We have a distribution group called BPMI_PME_MGRS in our address book in Outlook. The problem is that this group does not always deliver e-mails to all the members in the group unless the user sending the email clicks the pluses (expands the groups) repeatedly so that all names within the distribution list appear in the email. Changing folder views?
My boss has a TON of folders in Outlook, and we can't figure out how to change the views on all of them. He's created a custom view, but has to go to each folder and change it. changing color/font in mail headers vs. inbox rules
I just changed the header text font and color to ID messages from important users, and to ID all messages sent to me from an old account that I want to shut down. This all works fine _unless_ the incoming message is auto-filed into a different folder by an INBOX rule. How do I get rules applied AFTER the header font/color changes?
