Outlook Rules Wizard #3
Have a question regarding e-mail receipts. I have applied rules wizard to screen unwanted e-mails. I have entered the word, such as "SPAM", to be screened. If found in the subject or body of the e-mail, it is to be deleted from the ISP server before it is ever downloaded to my computer. Occassionally I will get the message, "You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation", and the message will get through. I will then go in rules wizard and my rule box will be unchecked. I will have to re-check it to re- activate the rule. How can I make...

Forwarding emails with attachments
I have received an email from my wife which had an attachment before she sent it. She is using outlook and on this computer too. We have XP and she has her own profile and thus her own email account. The email arrived without attachment, so I went into her profile and checked it out. When you forward emails with attachments, the attachments are supposed to be sent as well. I had a look in her Sent Items and the attachment was not there. Is there something which blocks the forwarding of attachments? I just tested the forwarding of a forwarded message with attachment, and that worked, in ...

SMTP message with attachment keeps resending
I ran into this with Outlook2002, but thought it was fixed with a patch and was no longer an issue with Outlook 2003. I'm running Outlook 2003 and find this morning that sending messages with attachments over about 500K results in the messages remaining in the Outbox, delivery receipts begin returning indicating the message was successfully delivered, but the message never makes it to Sent Items. Thus my computer continues to resend the message with the attached file. Could this be an issue with XP Service Pack 2? I installed it over the weekend and didn't notice this pro...

POP 3 CONNECTOR #2
Hi Exchange 5.5, which was setup years back with POP3 connector cuz there was no internet on site. Now I want to setup MX record pointing to this server. Do I simply stop running/uninstall POP3 Connector service and make sure SMTP is running? Or there is more than that? 3 format cell tabs hidden in excel dialog box
When I right click on the cell and go to format cells instead of seeing 6 tabs as usual I see three tabs and the other three are on a lower level and covered by the information in the dialog box. I can only see the very top edge of the tabs. Any ideas what could be causing this? If you're using Excel 97, and making copies of copies of worksheets, you may hit a limit, because of the way the sheets are being numbered in the background. If that's the case, try copying one of the first sheets, instead of the last one. pjbjamison wrote: > When I right click on the cell and g...

Attaching multiple files from ouside Outlook 2003
I'm running Outlook 2003 (non SP1) on all of my PCs. Outlook is configured on all PCs to use only HTML for emails (it's the default, anyways). If I attach 2 or more files (simultaneously) from windows explorer (using the "send to mail recipient), the email comes up as plain text. This happens on all clients. If only one file is attached, or if you attach multiple files *from the outlook email window itself*, then the email comes up as HTML, which is correct. We're using a document management system (DocsOpen) and it is not easy for my users to save each document to the desktop...

Disabling auto - Your files are attached and ready to send
This seems to be an XP issue, but also pertains to how IE 6 prepares email links to be mailed from Outlook 2K. When selecting Send a Link from IE6, it auto-generates the following message in Outlook 2K in the message body area. I know it can be manually deleted but that is not a solution. "Your files are attached and ready to send with this message" Is there a registry fix for this? Must be, its a pain in the you know what. Thanks! -- marx404 No, it's hardcoded in the sendmail dll. I use select all (control a) and begin typing to remove it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outl...

Outlook 2003 Attachments Question

Another problem is this: If I am in Word and go to File-Send to-EMail recipient as Attachment. It cannot find Outlook to send the message. However I am able to open Outlook and attach the file to a new email and send it. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you! ~Michael ...

CRM 3.0 Implementation
I am interested in the experiences of others with implementing Microsoft CRM 3.0. I am a one man development team who has been tasked with implementing CRM 3.0 with 30 users initially. Our organization has been running on Lotus Notes for quite a while. We moved to echange for e-mail over a year ago but still use Lotus for custom databases. The first step will be pulling the data from Lotus Notes to CRM. I have looked into the Microsoft CRM 3.0 Certification. There is a company that offers a 10 day CRM 3.0 boot camp. Is this a good idea, and at what point should I take it? We would lik...

Large Attachment > 4mb Problem
When I first installed Outlook 2003 I had a problem downloading large attachments (>4 mb). I've just installed Outlook 2007 and am running into the same problem. attaching child ClistCtrl window to resizable parent Dialog
I'm using Visual C++ 7.0 and MFC With the Wizard, I created a Dialog Window [which I made resizable]. I've place two ClistCtrls side by side on the top of the dialog. I'd like to attach the RHS of the rightmost ctrl to the parent dialog so that when I resize the dialog, the listctrl expands. Note that I don't explicitly create the listctrls - this ia all behind the scene.
