Appointments acceptance through a Queue

We have very recently started using a Queue to assign speaking engagements to
our Community speakers. When we first setup the Queue peole would accept the
assignment and it would populate their calendar. This suddenly stopped.
When looking for knowledgebase articles to help troubleshoot the issue I
found that synchronization can often help correct issues like these. Then I
tried to sync and got an error message stating that a SQL error occured. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook Appointments in Plain Text
I have some users running Office XP, and others running Office 2000. Seems that whenever one of the Office XP users sends an appointment, the Office 2000 users see it as plain text and not an appointment item. Patched everyone to appropriate service pack levels, didn't make a diff, and it doesn't matter who the sender is. We do not run Exchange; rather a Linux-based POP3 server. Office XP to Office XP works fine; I haven't verified O2K to O2K... Is the reminder field checked, see if un-checking helps "Jake McDermott" <jmcdermott@syntricity.com> wrote in mess...

Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x80070005 while saving appointment #2
Is anyone familiar with this error on Exchange 2003? All the KB's I can find on it refer to Exchange 2000 and virus scanners accessing the M drive, which obviously isn't the problem on 2003. Its only affecting one user and it is manifesting in the shape of thousands of calendar invitations moving back and forth between us and a client. Any suggestions would be great at this point since I'm absoltely stumped. If its any more help I now see that all of the thousands of replies are acceptance or denials for the meeting. The strange thing is that email email is for a different...

Exchange 2003 messages not leaving queue

Control appointment time display in Work Week view
When I view the Work Week instead of the Month, the start/end times crowd out much of the information display area for each appointment. How can I: 1. Show only the start time, not the end time? 2. Show only clock faces for the time(s)? I tried to do this by right-clicking in the calendar area, selecting OtherSettings, then toggling Week->ShowTimeAsClocks and Week- >ShowEndTime. Neither of them seem to do anything. I am using Office 2003 on Windows XP. The show time as clocks for the Week section should do it - http://slipstick.me/jing/2010-03-02_1951.png Try res...

Hi, I have a weird Outlook issue. I have set my Out of Office to auto-forward all mails to my colleague in my absence. I received a meeting request while away, which, as requested was forwarded to my colleague. He accepted it but the meeting organiser was then very confused as it did not show that he had accepted it on my behalf, just that he had accepted her invitation, she was then very confused as she hadn't invited him. Also, upon him accepting it, it added to his calendar, not mine! has anyone alse come accross this before? many thanks Kerry ...

Stuck mail in queue?
Hi, Is there any known issue with sending calendar invites to external users (other companies)? I have a user who sent a mail invite to an external user who apparently accepted the invite but now that acceptance is stuck in my mail queue. I can see all of the details of the mail including a valid recipient address (my user) but it will not deliver to his mailbox. Also, is there any possibility that that mail in the queue could cause the queue to backup and not deliver other mail? Thanks, Dan There are no settings which prevent meeting acceptance messages from being delivered from ...

Question about Queue
We hope to use a queue in CRM to manage "tickets", which actually are created from another web application.I suppose it can be done through CRM SDK web services. Has anybody done similar thing? We also want the ticket information shown up on the records in the queue. Does it mean that we have to customize one type of the activities, as a queue only accepts activity and case? (We don't use Exchange and so we don't have email router.) I would use Case for this. That is exactly what they are designed for - service requests/tickets. -- Matt Parks MVP - Microsoft CRM ...

Email Router Queueing Emails?
We just upgraded from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0 and now it takes 15 -20 minutes for the first email messages of the day to be delivered. Another group at my company noticed the same issue. Normal Emails sent through Outlook are not being delayed during that same time frame so it doesn't appear to be an Exchange issue. However, I'm not an Exchange admin or really familiar with the admnistrative aspects of the product so I don't know where to start looking. Is there something in the CRM that would tell me what time emails are being sent? -- Thanks, Jim FYI ... I'm not usi...

Queue measurements
So we only use one queue due to a lack of security but I have management that wants to know how many cases have been assigned to the queue in the last 6 months. I have tried a multitude of advanced finds and they will only show me the cases currently in the queue, since the group that uses it pulls the cases and assigns them to users in their group. Is there anything between advanced find and the report builder that will expose the total number of items assigned to the queue (regardless of who owns them now)???
