Access 97 can't resize database window
My database window with the listings of forms tables etc was adjusted to a
smaller width, but resizing it is completely disabled and renders Access
2007 utterly useless for me. Is there anyway to 'reset' the window?

We are looking to move a big site over to using MOSS in a big as an
alternative to shared network drives (ugh). One of the biggest issues
is sending docs as attachments via email for others to edit.
We'd like to get everyone to use the 'send a link' functionality from
thew Sharepoint DL BUT when the user receives the email and clinks on
the embedded link the doc opens read only.
They then cant edit and save their changes. Seems a big an counter
intuitive functional flaw.
Are we missing something here?
Is there any easy (for the end user) way to send those links to a doc

This is my first post to this server, Hello everyone.
We're working on a database created by my collegue in MS Access 2003. Since
some time we've moved to MS Access 2007. Now we find problems editing the
menubar. Each time we want to remove/add/alter a menu item my collegue goes
to his MS Access 2003 and changes a menu.
In 2007 the full menubar is visible under Add-Ins ribbon menu.
Normally there should be a system table USysRibbon, but it is not there.
There are only MSys* objects. How can we change the menubar directly in MS

find option of "From Scanner" under "Insert" --> "Picture". Apparently I
must need some sort of Word97 Add-On. What and where is the add-on? Is it

I have a rather large application that uses an access 97 database (DAO). We
also have a version that works with access 2000, Oracle, msde, and SQLServer
(ADO). We would like to retire the DAO version of the product, but there are
places where the ADO version is much slower compared to where we run DAO

I just installed 8.0 SP#2 (ran the script that it says to run cuz we had
upgraded from previous version to remove dups in smartlist tables) and when I
log into GP as sa, it hangs and CPU sits at 100%.

Pub 2003 can open anything, no conversion necessary. Going backward is a bit
trickier. File - Save As and chance the file type to a Pub 2000 file.
Possible problems can arise if you've used a feature that was not available

You're moving the mailboxes, right? The user's "address book" is the
Contacts folder in the mailbox. So, there's nothing extra to move.

Anyone know why a User assigned to only 1 custom Security Role that has
restricted access for all Core records set to the "User" level?, e.g.
the user is assigned the "User Read Lead" privilege, they should
only be able to read Leads that they own or share.
However, it doesn't seem to be working, as if this user selects the
"All Leads" View, the not only can read other users' Leads, but can
also modify them!
Again this User is only assigned to this 1 Role.

I designed a database (forms, reports, et al) several years ago in Access 97
and it continues to work well. I've just received a MS Office Professional
2007 and wonder if it is time to migrate my data into the new program.
I've attempted two or three times to do this in Access 2002 and I keep
getting error messages along the line of "...corrupted file..cannot be
opened by Access 2002 (or some such message)..." The help radio button
opens up a box which suggests I do some programming in Virtual Basic to

me emails can use any of the three email aliases and the email will
arrive in the same mailbox. Accessing the mailbox once will retrieve
all messages regardless of which alias was used.

It's a pivot chart. As soon as it's created, it's linked permanently to the
pivot table, and you cannot change the source data. you cannot add more data
that's not in the pivot table to the chart, nor can you remove data that is
in the pivot table from the chart.
