Convert SQL timestamp to Unix timestamp with timezone
I've been running the following to convert SQL time into Unix time:
select DATEDIFF(s, '19700101', end_date), end_date, start_date,
where courseid like 'HLH 110.R031%'
However, it isn't taking into account the timezone - I need the unix
timestamp to take into account Eastern Time (GMT -5) so that when
translated taking into account timezone it comes out as such.
For example, given the SQL timestamp 2010-01-14
my script returns 1263427200 (when translated as GMT this is Jan 14,
but with the -5 for ET, it co...Inserting data in .adp database

Any easy way to convert mm/dd/yyyy format in column to yyyymmdd forma
some of the values in my database column for mm or dd have only 1 digit, and would need 0 fillers in order to comply with my final database need
Thanks in advance

You mean you have a chart but don't have the data it was created from? This
article in the Microsoft knowledge base describes a macro that will extract

We have installed a new SAN and want to move the location of our
Exchange 2003 databases from the old SAN to the new SAN. I am familiar
with Microsoft KB821915 on how to move databases and logs and have done
that previously. However, our databases are quite large (some more
than 100GB) and it has been my experience in the past that the MS

our maintenance window, we wanted to restore the files to the new SAN

What's the best way to strip the special characters out when reporting
from the database?
you have a couple of options depending on your SQL version.
If you run 2008 you can use the REport builder 2.0 which by the way renders
the rich text.
If you have 2005 you will need to write some code to strip the HTML tags out.
Hope that helps

In a scenario which is becoming all too common, one of my clients has been

Obviously, in this situation the Exchange database has become THE key file
