Pasting excel chart into powerpointOffice 2003.
When I paste an excel chart into powerpoint, it's not pasting
proportionally. I've added text boxes to the chart (in Excel). Also, the
original chart is a full page in Excel, however when I paste it into
Powerpoint, it's being reduced in size. when I enlarge it, the text boxes
(that I added) then overlap one another in powerpoint, where they didn't do
this in Excel. I just switched from '97 to 2003 and this wasn't a problem.
Perhaps I'll also post this to the powerpoint newsgroup, in case the problem
is there instead of excel.

How do I automatiicaly redefinie Source data range for a chart?I have A Chart Defined by Category (X) values in Collumn B and Y values in
Collumn C. Right now Both are defined by rows 4 to 114.
I would like to be able to have the chart automatically redefine itself so
if I put a value in C115 the chart would automaticaly set Y value range to be
C4:C115 eithout having to manually define chart. Is this possible? If so
how? I've tried OFFSET bu so far no luck.

If you turn your data cells into a List, or Table in xl2007, the chart will
auto expand.
The named range approach will work if you set up the names correctly.

Pivot Table not pulling all fields or dataHi All........
Without getting too verbose, I have a 900 row by 26 column database I am
applying a Pivot Table to. The code seems to run fine, but it is not
returning some of the fields, and of course the related data. I have tried
reformatting the entire columns I am pulling from but no joy......however,
when I reformat an errant cell from General to TEXT, that row comes
in........and/or, if I change the value in one of the missing cells, it will
bring that row in. The code runs fine, and was mostly derived by recording
a macro in XL2k, but the data cannot be trusted becau...
importing into registerI have successfully downloaded files from my bank into my
checking account register. I have one account that that
downloads my account info into a separate checking
account, not the one I intend. I save the file then
tried to import and it still imports into the other
file.
Bank support told me that the download may be matched to
the other account and to turn it off, then re-point it to
the correct account. I do not know how to do this. I
even closed the incorrect account and did the import and
it still imported into this account.

Problem importing dllHi
I have an application that used some external com dlls. So in my application
code i've imported those dlls as

You need to do code to do this. You can declare what are in effect global
variables in the main report and track the running total in those variables.
Becuase they are global the sub report should be able to access them as
well. you may also be able to pass the contents of the running total
variable directly into the sub report as a parameter as well

Click on Project number to generate reportI have a report "rptProjects" that I want run and filtered to show the
details of just one project based on the project number clicked on in a
summary form (continous form).
The target report is linked directly to the data table and contains
subreports linked to their respective data tables.
I can get the Projects form to open to the specific record fine using the
DoCmd.Openform, but DoCmd.Openreport does not work.
I have placed the projects' PKeys on both the summary form and within the

Can't you use rectangle or line controls in your various sections? These
should work unless your sections are set to Can Grow. If this is the case,
you may need to use the Line method ...

Is there a good way to get the column totals on a stacked
column chart to appear above the columns?
All I have gotten so far is the individual pieces of the
column to show their values inside of the column, but the
user wants the column total, above the column.

Assuming your chart is a 2d stacked column you could use dummy data
series plotted on the secondary axis to display the total.
Create yourself a helper column on your worksheet that sums the values

Set color for chart serie in excel 2007/2010Hi!
I want to do a macro that sets the color for the chart series to the color
the company has desided to use. We have a theme but we can only set color for
the first 6 series and we often use much more series.
I have understod that this isnt so easy as to loop thru the series and set
the color since the color is set on different ways depending on the charttype
for the serie, or is it a way to do this so it works for all chart types?

Data Format: how can I re-formatThe spreadsheet that was exported for me to use has the information in
paragraph form:
It is customer ID name and billing info but it is like a long series of
address labels.
I want to be able to have them listed under captions like company name,
contact, address, city, etc.. so I can use the data.
There is an empty row between each entry. Each entry is 3 or 4 rows.

Custom Type Charts ProblemI am using Custom Type Charts in Excel, which uses Pivot Table as the Data
Source.
The problem that I am facing here is that whenever I Refresh the data using
the Refresh icon, the Custom Type charts LOOSE their formatting.
To make my problem clearer, I am attaching a sample Excel sheet herewith.
In the sample file, go to 3rd sheet "Custom Type Chart" and have a look at
the "Tubes" chart. Now click on the "!" Icon (this is the Refresh icon). The
formatting of the chart changes.

User defined series in chartHello,
I need to create a chart, whose X axis follows the following series
from lowest to highest (1,2,3,4-,4,4+,5-,5,5+). These numbers
basically represent a ratings system, with 1 being the worst rating
and 5+ being the best rating.
I have the data populated in excel, I just don't know how to graph it.
