I have values like "2010 WW14" and "2010 WW7" in a query and I'm trying to
grab the number part to the right of "WW". It will always be a 1 or 2 digit
number and I always want the format to be a number.
I'm currently using Left([WorkWeek2],(InStr(1,[WorkWeek2],"ww")-1)) to grab
the 4-digit year to the left of "WW", but I can't figure out how to alter it
for what I need above. Any suggestions?

I have many old Excel 1997 files with line graphs that show up the x axis
date and time values. The old Excel 97 show about ever 10 or 20th date/time
stamp in the x axis, but the new 2003 show only black spots at the bottom of
the line graphs.
How do I get Excel 2003 to produce a line graph to show time/scale data that
has dates and times like the old Excel 97 did?

I have a user that refers to enter data into a query so that she can check
the calculations as she enters.
My question is as she enters data and goes from one record to the next
Access tries to fill in data which does not fit the criteria for that column.
For example if she enters 123 in record 1, then 124 in record 2, Access will
automatically fill in 125 in record 3 even though 125 is not an item in the
list for the look up wizard for that field, and then she receives an error.
Is there anyway to turn off this functions, so that Access will not

I am in the process of converting from SBS2003 to Server/Exchange 2003. In
the past I have been using blat to e-mail results of a number scripts.
However in the new setup I can not get blat to work. On compairing the
Exchange configs on both servers I can not find any differences. The new
setup can send/receive interanl/external mail just fine to I know the basic
setup is correct. Below it the output of a couple of telnet tests. I did
not expect the test using the external domain to work but the internal one
should work as before.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can't find a send button. I have tried the add accounts, put the imap and
smtp (aol) still nothing. It can't even be found in the tools sections
the account is not fully configured. The send button will not appear until
it is configured.

has 2 command buttons. When I run VBA Macros that redraws
the print area or change sheets the command buttons slide.
How do I lock them down?

My hide sheet option in Excel is not working. It is grayed out so I can not
toggle nor use it to hide or unhide sheets. Security is at Medium - would
appreciate any insight into how to fix this.
Is the sheet protected? You cannot hide a protected sheet.

Obviously, this number varies, so I would like to count the number of cells
with an entry in it, and then divide the total maximum temperatures by that
figure. This should also give me a running total of the average temperature
for each stationat anytime in the month.

When I hit the tab button the selection jumps several columns over instead of
going to the next column. What's strange is that this seems to happen only
on one computer in the network and not on the others. The document is shared
so I think it is maybe the formatting for that computer's excel. Does anyone
know what is going on?

tables. To do this, I need exclusive access to the app. I came in this

I have a query with a Where statement. The results of that query are used to
populate the data iand peform calculations in the next query. If the first
query produces no results, the second does not either. How would I tell
access to put a value of 0 in one of the fields as a result in the first
query so that the second query would produce results with a field that has a
value of 0 instead of not returning any values at all?
I have not tried this but it might work for you.
Use your query in a union query.
Create a query with subquery that counts records from your where statement.
