Can I change names of fields in calendar?
I am using a calendar like a project manager. I would like to change the
names of fields eg Location to Action to be done, Contacts to Action officer.
I have been able to change the column headings in Custome view, but this
doesn't change teh names of the fields on the calendar form. That is teh form
that appears when you make an appointment.
No, you can't change them. You could use in-cell editing and create the
items in table view, where the column display names can be changed.

I'm creating a report, imported from Excel, that contains a large
ACCESS wants to limit me to only 256 characters in that field.
Is this correct? Is there a work-around?
memo fields actually support something like 63256 characters. are
you sure it is not set as a Text field? those are limited to 255.

I am still getting the 'package' label when I embed a bmp image in an OLE
field in my database table. I had been trying to embed jpgs until I learned
the OLE server does not support them and returns the 'Package' label; however
I converted my images all to bmp and tried to embed them that way, but I
still get the same 'Package' label.

I have another table tblPB with four fields as follows:
DDID as the Primary Key
PDkey, a lookup field to tblPhones.
DirectoryID, a lookup field to a table tblDirectory

The Main Form uses tblPhones as it's record source
The Sub Form has tblPB as it's record source
Link Child Fields = PDkey
Link Master Fields = PDkey

I have Two Tables ,a Student Name Table with Two Fields, Student Id and
Student Name the other table is a Rubic Table and has the same two fields
along with other fields. I have created a form with a combo box(Names) on the
form and I am trying to get the Name and the Student Id to be entered into
the into the Rubic Table fields but I can't seem to get the Student Id to be
entered. I know I am doing something stupid but I can't seem to make it work.

Let's say I'm creating a form that a non tech savvy used car dealer uses to
enter his newly acquired vehicles to the excel workbook. Each sheet of the
workbook is a unique model year of the car. (That would allow him to quickly

In Access 2007, I’m having a little issue displaying a form that runs
queries on load. Below is my code.
When I double click the form, the queries begin to run but the form only
appears after the queries are done.
If I put the code behind a command button it works fine. I can’t use a
command button because I need the queries to run unattended when the DB
opens. Where am I going wrong?

You guys have been great with your help. I created a form in a database,

No, the only way to 'fake' this is to create another field and populate that
field during the on change event of the original field.

It seems that an Error (code 1004 I think) gets thrown whenever the
Copy method of a Range gets called while a Form is visible. The Copy
method works if I hide the form before using it.

I have visual basic code written in the after update event of a field on the
main form. The form has a subform that has 0-10 records & 3 different
visible fields. I have the code below written to send an email, which runs
successfully. In addition to the current text I would like to be able to
include the entire contents of the subform associated with the record in the
body of the email. Is this possible to do, or if it is not, would it be

I get a copy of all NDRs send to me. However, just recently, when I go
into the NDR to resend it on, the 'from' field is missing, so I don't
know who sent the message.
Any idea why this might be and how to change it?
The original message should be attached to the NDR. That is what needs to
be re-sent, not the NDR itself. NDR's typically have <> as the sender. Do
you see the original message attached?

I have a client that keeps forgetting to select the custom form size when
printing a report in a pre printed form. Is there a way for me to set the
properties of the report to choose a specifc form, a default form?
Have you checked whether this report is controllable by Named Printers. With
Named Printers you can select the printer and all its settings to be used for
individual supported reports.

We have a user that is trying to move an email recipient
from the TO field to the CC field in an email by dragging
and dropping. When he does this, he gets an error:
Microsoft Word. The object is not connected to server.
Has anyone seen this?
