Access denied opening XML attachment
A user on my network cannot open an xml attachment in
Outlook 2003. It works fine in previous versions. It
says "access denied. Error processing resource." If the
file is saved to a drive, then it opens without a
problem. Is there some security configuration that would
cause this behavior? I have tested on multiple machines
and multiple users to rule out profile or other causes.
I have also checked security on the tmp folder the file
is trying to open from. Any insight would be helpful.

I have a 2003 access database that writes data to text fields in a 2003 word
document, no problems,
I have now upgraded the database to 2007, and the same code although it
appears to run ok, does not actually update the word document fields, i also
tried converting the word document from 2003 to 2007. I data transfer using

I have been getting the error message "Cannot save free/busy information"
from Outlook frequently these days. It started when we changed our
configuration from connecting to an Exchange server on the LAN to using a
proxy Exchange server that forwards (I imagine) to another Exchange server
on a different LAN.
I have my profile configured to deliver to a local PST file.
It seems that Outlook does successfully update free/busy info on the server
sometimes; the error message appears fairly randomly - e.g. sometimes when I
delete a meeting request, but not every time.

Have a problem that happens in one Outlook 2002, but not another -- so I

Is it possible to add a drop line to only one data point in a series? If so,
how? I believe attaching an autoshape line to a single data point would also
meet my needs. I would like to be able to have a single data point marked
with a line that doesn't require repositioning every time I add new points to
the end of the series, which is daily. Any ideas?
An autoshape would move anytime a heavy truck drove by. You could add custom
negative error bars to the series, where the range containing the values
contained zero for each point except for the one you want the drop line for.
Easie...Problem changing parent Business unit
WE have re-arranged some business units into a more appropriate hierarchy,
however, we have noticed that a user in a role with deep privileges (own
business unit and children I think) to read users can only see users in his
own business unit and only one of the child business units (there are 2
child business units).
We cannot enable him to see all the users in both child business units.

I have written a MFC server application (MFC automation server). Some
configuration settings are saved with WriteProfileInt /WriteProfileString to
the registry. I used SetRegistryKey("Mycompany") for the registry path. The
application works fine under different users.

could highlight several emails and add them to the junk senders list by
selecting: Action/Junk Email/Ad to junk senders list

created in an earlier version, but this failed. The control created in the

Interesting. I tried to replicate this behaviour but failed, it all worked
as it should.
Try revisiting your form after applying the conditional formatting and
resetting the text box to center text.

the Datasheet View. This means that when a user tabs to the next row and
enters data they get an error--and they should.

I have placed a Tab Control on my form. The Form is linked to a master
table that assignes an ID. I have 6 tabs and each tab has a subform
(The subforms link to the Score Table and the score table links back
to the Master Table) with option buttons for the user to choose. The
problem I am having is that when the user clicks on the next tab it
creats a new record in the Score Table. I would like to have one

for analysing sales, margins, and changes for different business units. I
have been using Excel pivots a lot and also in this case started with excel.

Hi I have a workbook 1 that i have been working on for many years adding
new sheet macros etc
But lately if i open workbook 1 on its own it is fine but if i try and
open another workbook (with or without macros enabled) i get a message
box say "Not enough memory" and will not let me open the second
workbook, I have tried deleting all the modules and all forms thinking
they might be the trouble, but still no joy
If i close workbook 1 and open the other workbooks, they open fine and
work fine macros etc so this leads me to think that it is workbook 1

Hi I have a form with default view as "Continuous Forms". When I openthis form I only want to see the records equal to Recordcount i.e. ifI have 3 records I should only see three records. option is grayed out on my Home/Records Tab. I want to check spelling in report design. How do I do so?
Spell checking in Design View is done via eye balls. I know of no other way
to accmplish that task. Note, that the spell check is for actual data that
is stored in tables.

Ok this is really silly, how do I get the file name of the currently open db
in the title bar above the ribbon? Going to access options current
database, if I select overlapping windows the title disappears, seems to
only work with tabbed documents(I'm not overly fond of tabbed documents)? I
am often working on more than one db..this title helps me keep track of
which db I'm in. Is there some other setting I'm missing or am going to
have to bite the bullet and get to like tabbed documents.

OK so I have a worksheet with a drop-down list that has the states of the US
listed. In the next column are 50 dependant drop down lists that have various
cities listed, and depending on which state you choose, the drop down list of
that state's cities shows.
Is there any way I can include the option "Other" in the cities column (call
it column B) without going back to my list source (my list is a named range)
and typing in "other" in the lists of each of the 50 states. I am a little
too lazy to do all that if I don't have to.
