NULL is not unequal to "". It's not equal (or unequal) to anything!

Iif(NZ([Subject_Name], "") <> "", [Subject_Name], [OldSubject_Name])

Better yet, don't use Allow Zero Length in your table unless you have one of
the VERY rare cases where you must do so, dragged kicking and screaming to
turn it on. That would let you just use NZ:

NZ([Subject_Name], [OldSubject_Name])

How do I refresh the selection listboxes on a pivot table?
The field-level (column) selection boxes used to select the data to be included in a pivot table include old and new values. How do I refresh these list boxes so they only include values that are present in the current source data? The list box continues to show values that are no longer in the data set. Click in the Pivot Table to bring up the Pivot Table toolbar. (If that doesn't bring it up, rt-click a toolbar and select it from the list.) Issue printing newsletter that was emailed

When the document is loaded and I open the Page Setup dialog box, the Layout options are: Publication type: Custom Page Size : Width: 9.5" Height: 44" Orientation: Landscape When I send the newsletter as an email, only the first page will print. Any suggestions how I might correct this problem before sending it out to our executives who will undoubtedly want to print the message. Conditional hiding / unhiding of rows ?
1.) I want to know whether there exists a possibility (other than with macros) to hide or unhide with the help of a condition, as in: if(C38="blab"; unhide(rows 38:52); keep them hidden) Is that possible or is the conditional formating just limited to nice colors of certain cells if they fulfill some kind of condition regarding another cell? 2.) I want to know how I could insert in my worksheets, left to column A, two columns 1 & 2 with a little "+" in order to display, when clicking on it, the hidden rows? Does anyone understand what I mean? I am not sure if I do...

Network Installation Issue
Hi everyone! I have two computers with Windows XP Home edition and Wireless Network. I want to install RMS 2.0 and use one of them to store the database and act as a register and the second one only as a register. How do I set this up? I installed RMS on both of them and SQL Express on database server. But I cannot connect to the database from the second computer. Thank you in advance for all replies. Unhide rows?
In Excel 2002, rows that were previously hidden will not "unhide." Rows that are hidden now will only unhide by using the undo command. Columns hide and unhide successfully, but rows do not. Protection is not on for either worksheet or workbook. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Nevermind. I forgot that I had a column with instructions to filter certain rows, the rows I couldn't unhide -- gee, what a coincidence. "Scot" <> wrote in message news:9Ea4f.1079$

Moving a row from one sheet to another wrongly leaves blank-row artifact.
Moving an entire row within a sheet in Excel XP is implemented correctly: Select the entire row, cut it, go to the target location, and Insert Copied Cells. The target row is inserted (pushing all rows below it down), and the source row is deleted (bringing all rows below it up, as it were). NOT so when the target is in another sheet in the same workbook. Excel inserts the target row correctly, but fails to delete the source row. The row still exists (only it's blanked out). You have to remeber to, tediously, return to the source and delete the blank row. Which means that if you intende...

Delete rows with macro code

POP3 Client connectivity issue
We have an Exchange 2003 server in a 2003 AD domain. Exchange is running SP1. We have several hundred remote users who use Outlook Express 5.x or 6.x to connect using POP3. Within the last 2 weeks, we've noticed several times that the clients are having problems downloading new mail. Outlook Express prompts for a username and password and successfully authenticates the user. Then it says "downloading message X of X" and sits there endlessly. We have restarted every service on the Exchange server including the SMTP service. This did not resolve the problem. Each time we ha...

No rows in dataset when reading in xml?
Hi, Ive had a bit of a look around for other people with this problem and cant find anything that solves it in my case, so I'm afraid im going to have to bother you all with a post of my own. Essentially, I am trying to read in an xml schema and then an xml document into a dataset using ReadXmlSchema and then ReadXml. When i do this, i end up with a table in the dataset (which i assume is created when i read the schema), but no rows representing my document. I read in a couple of places that validation failing against the schema would cause data from my xml file, so i validated my docum...

Order By not working when record source set by vba
I had a continuous form in my database which was bound to 1 query and filtered it based on combo box values. All the fields (apart from the combos) where locked and disabled to make them view only. The form also had labels for each of the columns and if you clicked it, vba code would order the form by that column's data, click another label and it would orderby that column instead. All was fine until i decided that it would be more efficent if the form used different queries for each of the criteria instead of holding all the records in memory and filtering them. That fea...

Color Coding Multiple Rows in Combo Box
Hi - I was wondering if there was a way to color code the rows of a combo box based after the value entered. For example, If the combo box is displaying the contents of field1 (numbers) which are 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2 I would want all 1's to be red, 2's yellow etc. I'm able to color code a single value at a time using the "ForeColor" command but, I'm not sure if there is a way to color them all?
