How to make check box obvious?

When I tab to a check box there is an almost invisible indication that I am
there: the label is outlined in dots. How can I accentuate the fact that the
check box has the focus?

A couple options...

If you change the text color, text size/bold, or back color of that label,
it would be more obvious.

Or possibly creating an empty and unbordered textbox behind the checkbox,
then changing the backcolor of the textbox.

Good luck!

Many ways to do that. One popular method is to change the color
of the text control's label.
Use the OnEnter event of the checkbox to change the color of it's

How to make a macro with relative references
I need to make a macro that when I run it, it always starts at the cell from where the cursor is. From that starting position, it moves 2 cells to the left and does something. I can't seem to do that. When I look at the code, it seems to have hard-coded movement to the cell that I recorded the macro. So how do I get the macro's code to use cell navigation relative to the cell I run the macro? Activecell.offset(0,-2).value = "hi there" would put the text "hi there" in the cell two cells to the left of the activecell. Hall wrote: > > I need to mak...

Vlookup combo box troubles
I ahve no idea what it is called but will try to explain. I have a vloolup table on one sheet and another with combo dropdown lists used in excel 2003 on my pc at home and on my work pc that when an item is required for selection or entry using the combo drop down boxes, the initial letters of the product entered are searched on by those characters. checking parity error on com port
hi, For reading a special protocol (seatalk bus). I have to detect error parity on rs232 transmission. I dont know how to do it ? some one can help me? Thanks, To perform a parity check the software and the instrument must obviously agree on how they are calculating the Parity Bit. Are they setting it on for an even or odd number of 1's ? When a device uses Even Parity, the data bits and the parity bit will always contain an even number of 1's. The reverse is true for Odd Parity. You should better refer the RS232 protocol for further details Cheers Jagadeesh "Christophe 83&q...

What is the advantage of using a "Chart Title" object over just another text box?
It kind of drives me nuts that I can't expand the box that the chart title is in, which is a trick I use sometimes to make sure text in a text box is centered precisely (center alignment, text box expanded horizontally to the width of the chart). Is it easier to access programatically, or where is the percentage here? Additionally, I note that while you can use nudge (and other drawing functions) on a text box, you cannot do this on a chart title. Attachment makes the msg text disappear?
Hi, using Outlook 2002. I have a user who claims that sometimes when he inserts a document into a message it irrevocably deletes his message text. This only happens with attachments. I haven't been able to recreate this on his or anyone's machine, but I was wonder if anyone has heard of this before I pin the problem on the interface between the seat and the keyboard. Making a big app, Unicode aware?
I'm working on making a big app Unicode aware. It does a lot of heavy string processing, using the CString class. The string processing already works just fine on UTF-8 and Latin1 and other single byte encodings. But if we send stuff through to the GUI, we get bad results. Now, this is a large app, and it does a lot of heavy string processing on XML. Most of the time, the input is UTF-8. We don't need to care about the fact that some characters are multiple bytes, because we only process markup, which are all single byte. Multiple-byte characters cause no problems for this single-...
