Word 2003 password removal for a document
We have few documents that are password protected and the employee that put in the password is no longer with us. how can we delete the password protection and thus get spell check working as well as edit the template for new changes? -- Tom Dalton Senior Biomedical Engineer

There are several kinds of password protection in Word, and whether you can remove it depends on which kind was used. If the document (template?) is protected for forms, http://www.gmayor.com/Remove_Password.htm describes a couple of ways of removing the password. If you're able to open the document, then this is probably going to work. Hello, I read, several times, the MS Office Suite Products page, as well as Anazon's offerings trying to understand these MS product offerings and their permutations, and am confused, as there seem to be several contradictions. I am trying to keep repetitive information that is required in several different places consistent throughout a lengthy Word 2007 document. I locate the information in an independent document. Quicksell 2000 conversion documentation
We recently upgraded from Quicksell 2000 to Microsoft RMS, and I'm curious about a few things I noticed during the process. First, the database could not be imported without error until I converted it from Access 97 to Access 2000 format, but I was lucky enough to guess this. SBS 2003 Default Exchange Account in Outlook taking over
I have a small business running Small Business Server 2003 and 5 workstations using WIN-XP. The webhosting provider we use handles the email accounts. To connect to the email server, I added a second account in outlook and selected it as the "Default" account. This worked great until the workstation was logged off or rebooted; when they workstation comes back up, the "Default (Built- in) Exchange Account" is reset as the default account. We do use outlook for calendaring and scheduling so I am afraid to just delete the "Default (Built-in) Exchange Account....
Cannot Open Office Documents from the Desktop
Hi, Can someone tell me why I cannot open office documents from my desktop? The system has recently been formated and a new install of Windows XP and Office XP have been installed. All security patches for both products have been installed/updated. When I double click a doc from the desktop, nothing opens. Can't connect to datasource or create address list in Pub 2003
Every time I try to connect to a datasource or create an address list in Publisher 2003 I receive the error "the operation cannot be completed because of dialog or database engine failures". I have tried the suggested detect and repair and all that succeeded in doing was forcing me to recreate all of my Outlook accounts and rules; Word default settings, etc. I do not nor have I ever had any problems doing mail merges in Word, just in Publisher. Hi, Its time for that popular question again, how to stop certain people sending outbound external mail. Currently I have a Exchange 2003 SP1 sevrer running in a 2003 native domain. I have applied the registry tweak and rebooted the services as stated in article Q277872 and have 2 distribution lists - one for allowing outbound mail and one for denying outbound mail. Do I need to uninstall Outlook 2000 before I install 2003? The software said I did, but won't it just upgrade automatically? How do I uninstall 2000? Unable to save file directly to network from word 2007
For somereason I am not able to save word files onto the network directly. It gives me "There has been a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost". I just got finished installed Exchange 2003 on a new server. This is not a migration. The company has never ran Exchange before. I have created a pivot chart and table from a spreadsheet that contains formulas that derive values of other cells. I'm moving files (from a desktop (Windows XP Pro) to a new laptop with Windows 7. Outlook 2003 is installed on both.
