Conversions

Hello! I work as an Information Specialist. Majority of our job requests
involve conversions. We just received an Adobe Acrobat pdf in which the
original document was created in MAC OS. The conversion was successful
through Omni Page as we only needed to capture text to convert to a Word
document.

I was wondering is there any other suggestions you can recommend for
conversions from other softwares such as MAC. Thanks so much for your time.

A PDF file is a PDF file, no matter which OS was used when the file was
created.
If you want conversions for specific Mac formats then which Mac formats?
Google will be your friend there.

Publisher 2000 conversion to PDF file
I made up a business card in Publisher 2000 using a photo and some text. It looks great but when I try to convert it to a PDF file either by using in house with Docudesk or sending it out to Zamzar it comes back in a set up of 10 cards on a 8x11 page like I am going to print in on some Avery format. Converse to BulkLoad...
I've an Annotated Schema file (XSD) which describes how data is laid out in multiple tables in SQL Server. I've a .Net application that creates an instance of the BulkLoad COM object, and calls the Execute method, populating my tables using the XSD with my XML data. Question is, how do I use the same XSD to then read that data from the database? Thanks for your time. Daniel. Daniel, Well, you don't really need the XSD to read the data from the database. You can just read the data from the field when you perform a select. You can call the ExecuteXmlReader on the ...

References to Me.???? fail after conversion
I have converted two Access 97 database to Access 2003. In both cases when I open the converted database in Access 2003 my code stops every time I reference a field on a form using the Me.FieldName syntax. How do you covert Quicken 2005D files to Money 2005 program ? Jim McNulty It's not easily possible. Money 05 can convert Quicken 04 and earlier. It's probable that Money 06 will convert Quicken 05 data, but that's not a sure thing. Money 06 will likely be released sometime this summer. Field Type Conversion
I have developed a form with information going to an Access Database. For some reason the credit card numbers are appearing similar to the following: 4.4909233454533E+12. I have tried going to my table and changing the field type from General Number to Text but Access deletes the records instead of converting. What do I need to do to correct this? Also, what made this happen? Thanks for your help!! You are right to want to change it to a text field. 4.4909233454533E+12 is the way Access writes numbers with many decimal places. Cutoffs after Conversion
I've designed a standard sized business card (3.5x2) to be sent to the printer. I also added a bit more space in the margin of the text boxes as a safety zone. I am have Office 2007 though the Publisher program looks the same as Office 2003, which is odd because all of the other programs in 2007 uses ribbons. When I print/save the file as a .tiff, .pdf or jpeg, the program cuts off the edges of the card. The .tiff version shows white in place of the parts that have b...

Quicken 2004 to Money 2004 conversion leaves all zero balances
I bought Money 2004 and converted my child's account from Quicken 2000 to Money 2004 with no problem. I was waiting to finish the taxes to do my account. In the meantime, Quicken sent me a free Q2004 copy. The performance is awful, and now I want to convert to Money 2004. However, all the balances are zero after the supposed conversion. The account names are there, but nothing in any of them. I updated today to the latest Q2004 update and tried it again. still no luck. Any ideas? M04 cannot convert Q04, only Q03 and earlier. Access to SQL Server (?) conversion?
I currently have a single user Access database with many queries, forms, reports, VBA, etc.. I need to expand on it to allow multiple user access, with 2-3 with read/write and maybe 6 read only. Not knowing much on SQL Server, what would be involved in porting the server side and the client side? (I'm hoping I can keep most of the current access stuff). Would it be basically the same amount of work if I went to something like MySQL? TIA Why? As in "why would you need to migrate to SQL-Server?" Access would be quite capable of handling that many simultaneous users. You cou...
