Recycle Bin Restoring

I've got a lot (100s) of files in the Recycle Bin that I'd like to restore,
but I don't want to have to then go find them in their original locations,
all over the hard drive. And, in some cases, the original location no
longer exists.

Is it possible to restore a file that's in the Recycle Bin to a location
other than it's original location?

Thanks.

If you open Recycle Bin in Explorer, you can drag the files to any folder
you want.

Thanks from me too -- I'd never have thought of that & I don't even need to
"restore" files that often -- but when I do I'd like the option of "restore
to where?". It hadn't even occurred to me that there might even be a way!
(maybe I'm too brainwashed by MS overlords telling me how I *should* want to
do everything & often there is no other way....or it's harder than "their"
way....)

Recycle bin sort order keeps going back to name
I sort by date, but every so often the recycle bin keeps going back to sorting by name. At least when the system is turned off/on and sometimes even while it is running. I have the option to Remember each folder's view settings on, and as far as I can tell the other folders don't have this problem, it is only the recycle bin that keeps resetting the view by itself. Unable to restore data from a previous month
Our DPM environment is configured for short-term, disk-based protection with a retention period of one week. Our long-term protection consists of a weekly copy (DD2T) to tape with a retention period of several years. Incredibly, I have found that I can not restore data if it was backed up in a previous month. As described in the following post (http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/35013714/cant-select-previous-mon.aspx) the back arrows in the calendar do not work. Similarly, selecting a previous month or year from the drop-down fields also yields no results. Apparently, ...

Recycling MainFrame View in an SDI
Hello: I have a CFrameWnd that overrides OnCreateClient to create a static splitter window with three views. I now have a need to support 2 different formats, 2 rows with the top row having 2 columns or 2 columns with the right column having 2 rows. Sharepoint restore issues
I was running the 2007 version of DPM and we never could make it resotre. Now running 2010 beta and have the same issue. I think there is a disconnect between the DPM team and the sharepoint team. Maybe it restores a very plain vanilla MOSS install, but in the real world it does not. Our MOSS install has three seperate URLs as designed by a MS partner. I don't know if those host headers are part of the issue, but, this is a great product for MS if they make it work, and provide real world instructions. I am not sure what types of issues you are facing with your restore. ...

Possible to restore deleted storage group?
We recently had a crash on our server, and I was able to get the e- mail back up and running. We did, however, re-organize the storage groups and mailbox stores. Now when I go in to restore a database from NTBackup ( via the Information store interface, not simply backing up the files ), it fails on restore. I have a feeling it is due to the original store is no longer there. I've tried re-creating the store and then doing a restore, but I doubt the GUID is the same.
