My 1099 issue
We're on v9.
My Acctg Manager want the AP staff to input 1099 TAX info when setting up
new vendors and not have it default and be able to 'save' a new vendor to
'Not a 1099 Vendor' as it does now. What I'm looking for is when setting up a
new vendor, the user must go to the Vendor Mtce Options screen and be obliged
to enter a Tax Type from the pull down. The user will not be able to save a
new vendor unless they do so. I've researched this request and cannot find if
this can be done or not.
Thanks in advance for your help,

I'm posting on behalf of someone else, who has a rather unusual problem with
their Windows XP taskbar. He has somehow managed to move it to the top of the
screen, and is unable to move it back, despite it being unlocked. I haven't been
able to find any remedies for what he has done, was wondering if anyone could
point us in the right direction?!
Thanks in advance!
...ActiveX Controls Display Issue?
I am starting out learning vba/vbe, but I am having problems controlling the
ActiveX control objects. When I insert buttons and boxes from the forms
toolbar, they work fine (except they don't have the same capabilities as
ActiveX controls), when I insert ActiveX controls, I am getting wierd font
behavior. When the object is selected, the text in the object looks fine.
But when I select a worksheet cell or another object, the font goes wierd.
Each letter in the text appears to get wider, so they run into eachother and
look weird. As the users selects different buttons, the...Number Format Issue
It seems that from time to time, some of our numbers get into Excel
2002 as text and will not sort properly. I know how to fix, by using
the Multiply feature in Paste Special to multiply all the offending
numbers by 1.
The question is, what causes this to occur when we start out with the
General format, and certainly do not format the cells as text?
Thanks in advance

I've played around (ok I know I shouldn't have) with the List Setting in the
Issues area of PWA. Trouble is now I've lost the hyperlinks from the Issue
description that used to take you to the Edit page, so now I can't access my
issues to change status etc. I've got a workaround by adding the Edit column
to my list, but I'd rather have my hyperlinks back!

We recently upgraded to Exchange 2007, and since that upgrade I have been

We moved a user from a Windows 2000 box and reinstalled Great Plains 9.0 on a
new Windows XP system. We had been using a PDF creation program called Primo
PDF in Great Plains and it was working fine. Now when we create a PDF file
and send it to someone else they no longer can open it. I even went as far
and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro, but we have run into the same problem.
If you create a PDF file using a different application, like Word, do you
have the same problem?

For me, all the apps seem much more stable once they are up and
running, but getting them there (i.e., launching them) still seems to
take longer than it should: Excel is the fastest, Word is the slowest,
with PowerPoint in the middle (don't use Entourage). Relaunching seems
to take less time than initial launch, but the speed at which relaunch
happens seems to vary greatly for no reason (but faster than pre-SP1).

We have determined the following:
1. If the Mfg Bill of Materials issue to site is blank,
2. The picklist then looks at the first router step workcenter ID and uses
that as the Issue to site
3. If the BOM has an issue to site for each component, then the picklist
uses that site.
Is there any options in manufacturing to tell Dynamics that we would like to
use the post to site from the MO entry window?
Technically, although the transaction shows an issue to site, the items are
issued to WIP and no quantity on hand is tracked. Does not matter which site
