Dual boot in reverse

Hello,
             I have dual boot system:
driveC --> WinXP
driveD --->Vista
Now, I do not need WinXP anymore.
I want to have only Vista and combine C & D into one, single partition.
How to do that without reinstalling Vista?
Your thoughts appreciated,
Claire

1. If the Vista partition is not primary, use a third party utility to
convert it.
2. Use Disk Management to make the Vista partition active.
3. Use Vista DVD startup repair to make the Vista partition bootable.
4. Use a third party utility to delete the XP partition and expand the
Vista partition over it.

I am trying to copy and paste from one excel to another. The reason i have two seperate excels open is because i have dual monitors and that is the only way i know how to get excel to show up on both screens. When i try to paste it will only paste values and it will not paste the formulas. Also when i try to paste special it does not give me the usual paste special menu. How can I get around this problem? Exch 2003 Sp1 Install w/over a Gig of Ram
Hello, I am about to do the Sp1 install for Exch 2003 running on a 2003 server. In the relase notes there is a paragraph about what needs to be done if the server has over a Gig of Ram. Both my servers do, one has 2 Gig and the other almost 4 Gig. I understand what to do with the registry entries and I have located them to be sure. My question is about editing the boot.ini file. I'll paste teh part of the article here and my boot.ini below it. If anyone understands what to do with it please help. I'm schedules to do the patches tomorrow. Here is the paragraph from the article: Event...

Dual Boot Dilema
I have a computer with space for only two hard drives. It was originally built with Windows XP Pro (Disk 0). I added a drive (Disk 1) and loaded Vista Ultimate on it and I do a dual boot routine as needed. At this point, I'd like to install a new Disk 0 and build it as Windows 7 Pro. (I really wish I could upgrade my Vista Ultimate to Win7 Pro) I guess my question is this, if I put in a new Disk 0, boot to a DVD and build it to Win 7, what will happen to my Disk 1? Will Windows still recognize that there are two bootable drives and ask me which one to use? When I put a...

No safe mode options with F8 on dual os dell system
I have Dell computer which i purchased from Dell with XP and Vista installed. It is currently set to XP. It is working fine. I am, however, trying to run a utility for AVG on it in Safe Mode and have found out that I am having a difficult time arriving to the Safe Mode options. Interestingly and, most frustrating, I have found out that Dell won't support a Dual OS system even though they are the folks who sold it to me that way brand new! The computer is only 5 months or so old. I try hitting the F8 immediately upon start up and I arrive at the "choose OS" me...

PC not booting at all
Hi I was having issues with a fatal error. I tried flushing the cmos, and changing the boot sequence. I now have a problem in that the computer is not starting up at all. It gets as far as displaying X300XT BIOS P/N 113-A33437-102 and then just sits there. Does anyone have any suggestions? my pc want boot from the hard drive, also my CDROM does not work
Someone please help!! My CDROM player got slower and slower then stopped altogether, what makes matters worse is that when I 'boot up'/re-start etc I am asked for a CD for boot up? I then have to press 'control/alt/delete' and then the pc boots from the hard disk, I have been into the set up and the 'boot from' list always defaults to the 'CDROM' as the first boot device, I keep changing it but it defaults back to the CDROM. I also have various files missing and I am unable to install printers etc from internet driver software downloads ie, I am a...

Dual monitors
I know this is a perennial topic of discussion around here, but is running multiple instances of Excel (using up multiples of the amount of system resources Excel normally would) still the only way to get Excel to run in two separate screens? I finally upgraded to Office 2007 Ultimate today, and am somewhat disappointed that MS still hasn't gotten around to implementing multiple monitor support. I'd thought they might have given some comments I'd read in blogs on the issue that apparently dual monitors were supported in the second beta version. Is there some serious technical re...

The computer monitor is plugged into the GeForce graphics card. Tried the Desktop "Display Setting". It says, the number 2 monitor is "N...

Dual mailboxes in GAL

I have exported the GAL using directory export from the tools menu, and opened csv file and deleted the dups. Then when i try to import it back in, the "import director...

Reverse Vlookup, List in Descending Order, [range_lookup] = TRUE
Hello, I have been trying to find this answer and having a little trouble. Here is my example: In Column A there are Dates in Descending order. In Column B are the corresponding Fuel Percentages that we charge our customers on those dates. An employee from my company will add the new date to the top of the list if the Fuel Percentage has changed. I have another workbook that needs to look at every day of the year and pull the fuel average on that day. The problem is that when I do a Vlookup =vlookup(Date,A:B,2,TRUE) the default logic is to look from the top of the list down to the botto...

Reversing mouse movement with a mouse hook
I want to reverse the mouse movement using a systemwide mouse hook. For example, if you move the mouse to the left, the cursor goes to the right. I've got my mouse hook working, but I don't know of a good way to alter the movement. I was trying to use SetCursorPos(x,y), but that sends my CPU usage through the roof and bogs the whole system down to near-unresposiveness. What's the best way to alter the mouse movements? Here's what I've got for my MouseProc. Even this simple code (which does not alter the mouse movement) bogs the system down b/c of the call to SetCursorPos...
